Eldrea: SEX Saga

After watching the trailer for Eldrea: SEX Saga, I was pumped up to play it. The trailer looked fantastic and when the game was described as a lewd visual novel with RPG elements, I was sure it was going to be awesome and a ton of fun to play. The thing is, this is not a bad game at all and I had fun with it, but I do feel that the trailer is a bit misleading as this is a much more linear experience than I was expecting. It is certainly not bad, but the potential to be great was certainly here.

That Hot New Expansion

The premise of the story in Eldrea: SEX Saga is pretty awesome. We play as a regular guy who has a pretty boring life, but they love to play this game called Eldrea and the hot new expansion pack, The Curse of Lilith has dropped and we are about to embark on a wild and epic adventure into this new world that sees us having to join up with a hottie called Jenny to put a stop to the evil Lilith and save the day. Hey, I love dark fantasy and this stuff here is pretty awesome and very exciting to get into, but there is one thing about the story that I could not figure out.

Is This Real? Or Some Kind Of Fantasy?

Now, this may make me sound like a moron, but there is something I have to get off my chest about Eldrea: SEX Saga and that is the way the story is presented. I played through this and I am still not sure if I am just a guy who is playing the game on his PC or if I have actually been magically transported into the game! I know this sounds very confusing, but the game never makes it clear what has actually happened in this regard. I took it as if I were a guy just playing the game, but there were also elements that made it seem like I had been transported actually into the game world!

A 10/10 For Effort

The visuals in Eldrea: SEX Saga are just amazing! They have some awesome looking fantasy characters in this game and the sex scenes have very smooth animation and some pretty hot sound effects. Granted, the orc type dudes might be freaking gross, but I still dig their design. The dark fantasy vibes of the game are fantastic from taverns to creepy forests, if you are into fantasy at all, I am sure you will really appreciate the overall art style that this game has going on. The game has a very Dungeons & Dragons or even Dragons Crown kind of style about it and that is something I think is very cool.

A Roll Of The Dice

When I watched the trailer for Eldrea: SEX Saga, even though the developer clearly says this is a lewd visual novel, I did think that the game was going to be more interactive than it ended up being. You only get one major choice to make and the skill tree, combat, and everything else feels random, heck, it is pretty much a roll of the dice. Being a Dungeons & Dragons guy, I got a kick out of that. However, I do think they could have fleshed the gameplay out more here as this feels like it is the illusion of choice more than actually giving the player meaningful choices to make during the game. Still, even with that being said, I enjoyed my time here and I liked how the game only took me around 90 or so minutes to beat.

Pros:

• This game looks great
• The dark fantasy vibes are awesome
• I liked how smoothly animated the sex scenes were
• The gameplay is shallow, but I liked it

Cons:

• There is not a ton of actual gameplay here
• I was left a tad confused by the story
