Long Lost Daughter

Today we are looking at the lewd visual novel, Long Lost Daughter. This is a game that has a pretty dedicated fanbase and some people seem to really like it. I think that there is some good stuff here and I think that the developer has some talent as a writer. However, I think that there are a few issues here that prevent this from being a game that really got its hooks into me. Still, I have played enough of this to share my thoughts so that you have a better idea if this is a game for you.

The Man Child Of The House

The premise of Long Lost Daughter is actually quite interesting. the main character that we play as is what I think is a middle aged dude (well he looks middle aged at least) who has taken a teaching job at a very special kind of girl's school. He moves there with his family, including his powerful, kind of mean, and cuck inducing mother, and tries to make the best of his situation.

Funny Or Fact?

A problem right off the bat is that I found myself laughing at the situations and the dialogue of Long Lost Daughter and to be honest, I am not 100 percent sure that the stuff I was laughing at I was supposed to be. There are some weird bits with a cat that I liked. However, the way our MC talks is kind of off putting as he is a middle aged dude, but he talks and acts like a teenager who has just found out about the wonders of sex. A lot of this is long winded and a little over explained and the further into it I got the less funny I found it.

Going Deeper Underground!

The gameplay of Long Lost Daughter is something that we have all seen before. This is a lewd visual novel game. One of the things that I did find interesting about the game is that the developer clearly got more and more confident with the game as they were making it. The reason I say this is that I felt the choices I was being asked to make later in the game felt like they had more weight to them than those I was making at the start of the game. With some of the choices that I made, I can see some people wanting to play this through again to see how the story may change.

Not Ripe Enough For Me

Now, like many other people, Long Lost Daughter caught my attention because of the cartoon style of the visuals. However, I never noticed that some of the character designs in this game looked far too young for my liking. Look, I can appreciate the talent here, and even with the engine switch that happened, this game looks good.

Yet, the characters just look too uncomfortably young for me. No judgment here if you think that they are fine, this could be just me. Yet, it was certainly a huge reason as to why I stopped playing the game as I felt it was way more creepy than hot.

Pros:

• The story I feel has some funny moments
• The cat stuff is funny
• I liked the rather odd and crazy world that this game is set in
• The cartoon visuals are very well done

Cons:

• A few of the character renders look way too young to be hot
• Some of the writing is way too long winded
