Lust Mansion

Lust Mansion is a strange game for me to talk about. I loved this game and I mean really loved it, I was pretty much all in as soon as I read the synopsis to be honest with you. Yet, despite this being a game I really enjoyed my time with, I can completely agree with those who say that they had problems with it as it is not a perfect game. Now, as far as lewd visual novels go that have been released this year, one thing I am sure we can all agree on is that this game looks amazing, but it is the gameplay and story that will make or break this for you.

Returning Home For The War

The first thing that grabbed my attention in Lust Mansion was the fact that the game takes place in the 50s, just after we (playing as a soldier) have returned home after the war. Our very rich grandfather has died and we are moving back to his big ass mansion to try and start our life now that we have returned home from the war. I have certainly played lewd visual novels that have had a kind of period-piece setting or have been set in a mansion, but I cannot think of another one where we actually play as a soldier who has returned home from the war.

Suspicious Circumstances

The thing is, Lust Mansion is actually a kind of detective story. We are not sure that our grandfather has passed away as a result of natural causes and we feel that there could be something sinister going on. One part of the game is about trying to uncover the truth about what happened to our grandfather and the other part of the game is about trying to bang all these hot chicks that we seem to keep stumbling across. I think the story is pretty solid, but I will admit, it is more the setting and the time period that hooked me than the overall writing.

Making It Work For You

The issue that I have seen some people have with Lust Mansion is the gameplay. This is a lewd visual novel that is broken up with a lock picking mini-game and some light detective work where you need to pick up and look at objects. It all works very well and I think the game does do a good job of making you feel like some kind of amateur detective as you progress through the game. However, you have to force yourself to do that as the game is very, very easy. You can just always click and just go to where a character tells you to go, skipping everything as you do and make it all the way through the game. It is ultimately up to you if you can resist this temptation and fully embrace yourself in the story.

I’m Into Having Sex, Not Making Love

A little 50 Cent reference for you on this cold summer morning. Anyway, Lust Mansion is one of the best looking lewd games that I have had the pleasure to play this year. I love the way the characters have this kind of shine to them. They all have super hot bodies and while the MC is well endowed, it is not over-the-top ridiculous. The sex scenes are just so freaking hot and they all are animated too, there is a nice variety to the sex scenes and the game always feels like it is pushing you toward the next one.

Pros:

• I liked the premise of being a returning soldier
• The mystery aspect of what happened to our grandfather was good
• This game has spectacular sex scenes that are all animated!
• I found the visual novel gameplay to be exciting thanks to the extra gameplay elements

Cons:

• You could just skip all the story and still make it to the end
• That lockpicking mini-game can sometimes be frustrating!
