Nymphomaniac - Sex Addict

Man, Nymphomaniac - Sex Addict had me with its premise. Off the top of my head, I cannot think of another lewd game that had me this excited after I read the synopsis of what it was! This as far as I am aware is still being worked on and if that is the case, I will give it a pass for many of the things that bogged it down. Even though this game in the state it is in is certainly not perfect, there is something here that truly did grab a hold of me and made me want to keep on playing.

She Loves Sex

The story and the world that Nymphomaniac - Sex Addict is set in is awesome and I am so invested in the lore here that I could honestly read a book based on this! Our main character is a young woman called Vydija and she is a nymphomaniac! So much so that she is always online looking for partners/clients to come to her place so that she can have hard hot sex with them. Now that alone makes for a pretty interesting premise, but the real kicker of this game is that there is a supernatural twist at play here.

What Is She?

You see, Nymphomaniac - Sex Addict is set in a world where there are monsters who try to pass as people. Not only this, but Vydija also appears to be stuck in her apartment complex and in some kind of time loop where things just repeat over and over again. Is she some kind of succubus? I do not want to go into spoilers here, but I was so taken in by the story and premise of what was going on here. The way that it had this supernatural element, almost like a Silent Hill alternate reality thing really did get my wheels spinning and wanting to know as much as I could about this place and Vydija.

I Wish I Was That Bike Seat

The presentation of Nymphomaniac - Sex Addict is amazing. Vydija is so damn hot and you can dress her up. Also, things like the way she eats can affect the way that she looks which I thought was a nice touch. There is one part of the game where she is naked on her exercise bike and that may be the hottest thing I have seen in a lewd game this year! The stuff here looks amazing and the supernatural elements that pop up are just so damn intriguing! However, the game repeats animations over and over again and there is no option to skip them! I also feel that the player needs to be given more camera control as well. These may not sound like the biggest deal to complain about, but it does get tiresome after a while.

Quite The Life She Leads

I was very impressed with how much there was to the gameplay of Nymphomaniac - Sex Addict. The actual meeting of people is interesting as you need to chat with them through the door to try and decide if they are a regular person or some kind of monster. She also has to pay rent and buy new toys and food as well, which is where selling her yoga videos comes into play. The gameplay works pretty damn well for the most part and while there is a lot of doing the same thing over and over again, I feel with a “skip” button. The repetition would not be bad at all. Also, I did always feel like I was just a few clicks away from learning more about Vydija and this place she appears to be stuck in.

Pros:

• Vydija is a fantastic character I want to know more about, plus she is hot!
• I love the setting of the game
• There is a lot to do here
• The presentation is fantastic!

Cons:

• You do have to watch the same animations over and over again
• The game is a bit clunky around the edges and could do with some fine tuning
