Randel Tales

Even though Randel Tales has been in development for a long time, it always pulls me back when an update drops. This is a very ambitious lewd adventure game that has a fantastic fantasy setting with a main character that is actually likable and fun to play as. If you are someone who loves fantasy and has always daydreamed about being in a fantasy world with monsters to fight and hot fantasy babes to try and bed, this is the game for you. I will come back to this each time the developer drops some new content, no matter how small it may be.

A Dangerous Fantasy World

Even though the game still has a rather long way to go before the story is complete. Randel Tales already has some fantastic world building that sets the tone for the game really well. It takes place in a fantasy world called, Astylla where for 400 years a violent war was happening thanks to the crazy Demon King! While the Demon King was defeated over a decade ago, his forces are growing stronger and stronger, leading to some real danger on the horizon unless a new breed of heroes can stand up and fight!

The Hero We Need

The main character that we play as in Randel Tales is a 19-year-old who is joining a special academy so that he can join the guild and become a warrior and adventurer. We get to experience his life at this academy as he learns new skills so that he can be brave and strong and also get laid off by the various fantasy babes that he meets along the way. I really like this main character. He acts like a typical 19-year-old in many ways and can make some rather dumb decisions. However, he is also very likable and can be brave and quite funny at times too.

Becoming The Hero The Land & The Ladies Need

The developer describes Randel Tales as a lewd visual novel, but I would say that there is more to the gameplay than just that. Yes, you do have to make choices and pick what your hero says frequently and this can have an effect on the plot. However, there are stats that you can build, items you can get your hands on and there are even quick-time event mini-games as well. It is much more of a lewd adventure game than it is a lewd visual novel. To be honest, I do not think the developer has to tinker with the core game at all, just keep adding to the story and this will be fine.

Fine With A Capital F!

I am a big fan of the visual style of Randel Tales I am not sure if it is the 90s boyband hair that the hero has, but this game looks like a 90s animated movie to me. There is just something about it, kind of reminds me of that movie Titan AE, but fantasy and of course way lewder. The female characters are a great mix with the bossy bitchy redhead being my favorite. The game can make you wait a while in between lewd scenes, but I give it a pass for this as when they do happen, they are great and you feel like you really deserve them.

Pros:

• The fantasy world and story are cool
• I liked playing as this main character
• There are some very attractive looking ladies in this world
• You will be surprised by how much variety in the gameplay there is

Cons:

• The updates do take longer than I would like
• You do need to be into fantasy to appreciate the story

Randel Tales is an adventure RPG with visual novel elements, which will tell about the adventures of a young hero, who embarked on a dangerous path of an adventurer. Elves, fairies, dwarves, witches, demons and other magical creatures are waiting for their chance to get closer to the hero.
