Rignetta's Adventure

Today I want to talk to you about a “quant” little lewd RPG called, Rignettas Adventure that I had a lot of fun with. It is the kind of game that is not going to win any awards and I can certainly see why some people who have not played it are not all that impressed. Yet, I still enjoyed myself with this game and could see the charm and why some people loved this. It has an adorable protagonist and some very stylish pixel art too.

Rignettas Adventure Is My Kind Of Girl

I have to say that a huge part of the reason Rignettas Adventure clicked with me was Ringnetta herself. She is the star, the main character, and the person we control during this Zelda style adventure. She is a fun, spunky, feisty, and cool chick (who may be some kind of robot) and she wants to have an adventure and a lot of XXX fun!. The premise here is certainly a great deal of fun, but there is not much in the way of an actual story.

Overcoming By Being Charming

Usually, I would probably tear a lewd RPG to bits for having a barebones story, but Rignettas Adventure is one of the few exceptions. You see, there is very little to the actual story, she is going on an adventure and that is pretty much it. However, I found that I was kind of coming up with these own cute and fun scenarios in my head which was kind of neat. However, on the flip side of this, I can see why for some it is off putting and may make things here seem kind of pointless.

It’s Dangerous To Go Alone, Take This!

If you read about Rignettas Adventure, you will hear many comparisons to the Zelda games, and in all honesty, that is probably the best comparison I can think of here too. We control Ringnetta from a top down perspective and move her around the map, fighting monsters, getting new gear, and taking on bosses. It is a very simple game and most of the challenge comes from finding what the best weapon is. Once you discover the sniper rifle and the grenades, the game is very easy. However, despite it being basic, I still had fun with it and the simplicity was a huge reason as to why.

Pixel Pounding

Look, we all know that the pixel art style lewd RPG is nothing new at this point, but Rignettas Adventure has a lot of charm to it. I love the large and if I am being honest, sexy picture of Ringnetta on the side of the screen as it will change as you play the game. The pixel art that makes up the game is done very well and has a ton of charm to it. Ringnetta gets banged all the freaking time and it takes place in the middle of the screen. It is done in the same style as the gameplay so it is rather small, but it was still fun to see. It may not be “sexy” but, it fits the tone and style of the game perfectly.

Pros:

• I liked Ringnetta as a character, she was cute and fun
• The pixel art is done very well
• I liked the top down Zelda kind of action RPG gameplay
• If you love chicks getting banged by monsters, you will get a kick out of this

Cons:

• There is not much to the actual gameplay and it is very easy
• The story is very barebones

An epic adventure isn’t exactly the background you would expect to find in a hentai game, and yet, Rignetta's Adventure makes it work flawlessly. Every aspect of a traditional overhead RPG adventure game is here – with the added bonus of having Rignetta’s vignette constantly reminding the player of her current “state”.

If you ever wondered “What if Secret of Mana was a perverted hentai game?” Rignetta’s Adventure is here to show you that it would work incredibly well. The tight controls, colorful visuals, and surprisingly engaging story turn this one into the rare porn game I would actually play for the plot. No, seriously.

An Epic (And Perverted) Quest

Rignetta, a well-endowed goth waifu, is on an epic quest that will take her all over the land. She searches for the usual things every JRPG character pursues: fame, riches, and maybe some tail. The difference here is that, in most cases, she’s the one providing the tail.

Every enemy in the game has the hots for Rignetta, and she has them too. While other RPGs like Chrono Trigger would have stats like HP and MP, Rignetta also has to keep a close eye on her lust level. Most enemy attacks increase your lust, and when that bar fills, there’s no way you’re staying on track before having a quickie with your foes.

Old-School Cool

Something rather unique about this game is how it acknowledges its retro game inspirations and plays with them. Sure, there are plenty of top-down RPGs that look like this one, but I bet most of them don’t have a window that shows just how horny or undressed your character is.

Look, I have nothing against using my imagination to picture the heroine’s current state, but a window like that sure does help. It’s a bit like Third Crisis and its hyper-detailed character portraits, only with a more “natural” anime style. The developer has polished Rignetta’s design a bit in the latest version, that’s for sure.

Still, I would have liked to see more animated scenes going on with Rignetta’s model. Most enemy “attacks” don’t show what happens in great detail. You’ll have to make do with the small sprites for those. Still, they are all uniquely detailed and animated – which is somewhat rare in this genre.

Ambitious and Voluptuous

Even in its early versions, Rignetta’s Adventure has always been a rather ambitious title. With lots of enemy variety and unique scenes with all of them, there’s no shortage of content to be found in this game.

Rignetta herself even has multiple portraits that change depending on her current clothes and horniness. The amount of portraits available is simply stunning, especially for a passion project like this. The game’s map is massive, filled to the brim with creatures to discover (and make love to) and treasures to improve Rignetta’s abilities.

To be honest, I didn’t expect this game to grab hold of me in the way it did. Now, it almost feels like I’m playing a naughtier version of Sword of Mana – and honestly, I never knew I wanted something like that so much.
