The Cabin – Summer Vacation

Even though The Cabin – Summer Vacation is not yet complete, I am still really enjoying myself with this game so far. It is a very well made lewd visual novel and one that has a story that so far has really managed to grab me. I like how the developer is trying to actually tell an interesting story here and is not just focused on having one lewd scene go to the next without any kind of plot or character development. Plus, the whole horror/thriller vibe the story has is something that I thought was really cool.

Not Quite Alone In The Woods!

I think a huge reason I got such a kick out of the premise of The Cabin – Summer Vacation is that it reminds me of some of the 90s era horror/slasher movies like I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream, and even the underrated Halloween H20! Our main character is forced to go and stay in the woods with family over the summer and what was going to be a boring summer ends up one that he will never forget!

Murder, Mystery, And Sex!

You see there are a handful of ladies that he will be getting close with and that right there makes The Cabin – Summer Vacation seem like your standard guy alone with a group of girls trying to corrupt their type of story. However, the twist here is that there is a murderer roaming these woods and that adds a whole extra level to the story. So far, the story is not yet complete, but I am really enjoying the direction that it is going in so far.

Quality Over Quantity

Much like there not being a ton of story just yet in The Cabin – Summer Vacation, there is not a lot of XXX content yet either. However, what is here is done very well. I like how the older ladies have a more mature and realistic look about them and the woods setting gives it a different vibe than the 1000 city settings lewd visual novels tend to have. There are some animated scenes in the game already and even in this somewhat early state, the animation quality is pretty darn good.

Shivers Down Your Spine!

So far there is not a great deal to the gameplay of The Cabin – Summer Vacation. This is a visual novel style of game and as a result, you do not have a lot to do. There are a few choices sprinkled around here and there to help you move the relationships with the different characters as well as the whole murder mystery thing too. So far, the choices have felt good and I am looking forward to seeing what more they have to add to the game.

Pros:

• This story is very interesting and well written
• I like how there is a smaller set of characters
• The presentation of the game is first rate all the way
• I am legit intrigued about where this murder story is going!

Cons:

• I wish the updates would come out a bit quicker
• It may be a bit of a slow burn for some people
