Witchload

I went into Witchload completely blind as to what it was. All I knew was that it was a game made using RPG Maker and that it had a reputation for being very short and not yet finished. That right there should let you know if this is the kind of game you feel is worth your time or not. I have to say that this is a bit different from your typical lewd RPGs in that you play as a femboy sorcerer!

This Sure Aint Hogwarts!

I think that it is pretty much impossible to play any kind of lewd game without drawing comparisons to the Harry Potter series. That rings true for Witchload as I always think “would this be what Harry got up to if he was gay”? Anyway, the story being told here is kind of fun and it does not take itself too seriously which I like.

The wizard femboy is called Loh’De and he is on a quest to find a magical artifact called the Philosophers Stone. It is up to you and the decisions that you make just how he goes about this and how lewd and slutty he becomes on his quest!

The Spice Of Life

I get that playing as what the game refers to as a femboy sorcerer is probably going to be a deal-breaking for many people. However, I found it a good change of pace and quite unusual so it kept me interested. As far as the actual gameplay of Witchload goes, if you have played any kind of lewd RPG that is made with RPG Maker before, you will feel a real sense of familiarity with this game.

I get the impression that what we have with this is all we are going to get as it has not had any updates for quite a while. As a result, the game is very short and it feels like it comes to a rather abrupt end. I guess this can be seen as a positive if you want an RPG that is quick to get through. It has a battle system that is easy to figure out and most of the quests are not too hard and require you to look up a guide to figure out.

The Seeds Of Confusion

Loh’De is a very unique looking kind of guy. I would wager that many people when they first see his portrait will probably think that he is a chick! He has a real alluring look to him and a huge reason for this is that the artwork is very well done. It has your standard RPG Maker look to the game, but the battles, lewd scenes, and the portraits all look very well done. Sound-wise, Witchload has a soundtrack that is not going to stay in your head for long after you have beaten the game. It is not offensive or annoying, but at the end of the day, it is not going to make you say wow.

Pros:

• I thought the main character was interesting
• It has some great artwork
• It is a game you can finish pretty quickly
• Nothing in the game is overcomplicated
• It is great if you want a naughty Harry Potter style game

Cons:

• The game looks like it will never be finished
• The whole game never really does anything spectacular
