Ben X Slave Quest

As you have probably figured out, Ben X Slave Quest is a game based on a very popular animated series. The game has a very interesting plot (well if you are a fan of the franchise, it is interesting) and in general, it has some great ideas. This is one of those games where you can tell it is a real passion project of the developer, but the updates are so infrequent and spread out that most people who loved the game initially have lost interest which is a damn shame as it feels like this could be something special.

Saving The Multiverse

There is no shortage of lewd Ben 10 parodies, but in terms of the plot, Ben X Slave Quest is one of the best that I have come across. While Ben training up a slave is part of the story and something that I found to be a lot of fun. It was the whole thing with the multiverse being at risk and Albedo being such a huge part of things that really got me invested. Now if you know nothing of Ben 10, this will mean nothing to you and you will be lost within the first five minutes.

With Great Art Comes Great Responsibility

You can tell right away that Ben X Slave Quest is a game where a lot of time and effort has been put into those incredible visuals. The characters look great and the way they are recognizable from the show, but have a sexiness and an attitude about them is really cool. In the current version I have played, there is not a ton of lewd content, to be honest with you. However, the lewd content that is currently here is pretty awesome and it is animated too.

What Would Grandpa Say?

The gameplay of Ben X Slave Quest is a real mixture of styles. You will have to read a lot of text, but this never actually feels like a chore as the story is probably the best aspect of the game. You will have to react to certain things, either by saying or doing something and this is how we move the scenes along. It has some RPG elements, slave training, and a bit of a visual novel thing going on too. The one area I wish they put a bit more time into was the slave training as there are some great bones for a solid slave trainer here, but they need fleshing out.

Auto Combat!

Ben X Slave Quest also has a combat system. It is a turn-based combat system where you can have it pretty much be automatically controlled if you want. I will say that the combat here is pretty shallow, however, it never feels like it is overused and while it can be simple, it can break up all of the reading that the game asks you to do.

Pros:

• The story that is being told here is great
• The writing is very clever and there are some fun fourth wall breaking moments
• While simple, I do like that there is combat here
• I honestly do feel that there is a solid game in here.

Cons:

• I have to be real and say that I just do not see this ever getting finished
• You really do have to be a fan of Ben 10 to appreciate this game
