Dungeon of Desire

Dungeon of Desire is a lewd game that surprised the hell out of me. With a title like this, I was sure it was going to be another lewd JRPG or something like that. Instead, what we have is more of an action/fighting game that has RPG and even some rogue-lite elements to the gameplay. It may not have a ton of content, but I have enjoyed what I have played so far and I wanted to share my thoughts with you fine folks on this cold spring day!

Death In The Dungeon

From what I could tell there is not exactly a ton of story in Dungeon of Desire. We play as a warrior that must fight their way through the dungeon, getting stronger as they go so that they can fight the boss and show that they are the strongest warrior. I think if you like classic fantasy style stuff, you will probably dig what is happening here. I do wish that there was a bit more story linking things together though.

A Breath Of Fresh Blood Soaked Dungeon Air!

The main thing that is going to capture people’s attention in Dungeon of Desire is the graphics. This is a very interesting looking game; it has a kind of cell-shaded and hand drawn look about it. The dungeon may not be all that impressive (although it is a dark and dingy dungeon so I am not sure what I expected) however, the characters look great and there is a decent selection of human like and monster characters too. I am not usually into the monsters banging hot chick’s thing, but I feel there is a good enough mix here where it did not bother me like it sometimes can.

Kill or Harvest

In keeping talking about the visuals for just a bit longer, I do want to say that the lewd content in Dungeon of Desire is pretty awesome. After a fight, you can kill or harvest the person or monster that you have just defeated. If you decide to go the harvest route, you get to have some naughty fun with them. However, there are also some fun kill animations in the game too. I do think that there could be more harvest and kill animations, but the ones that are here are done very well.

Fighting Until The End

I thought that the gameplay of Dungeon of Desire was going to be very basic, but it had more depth than I thought. There is a real timing system at play here, you have to learn to be able to read an attack and then block at the right time. Leaning an enemy’s pattern is key to moving forward. You do also get to level up and improve various stats, to me, speed was the most important one to work on first as it lets you block quicker.

There are also some items you can get which can give you various buffs for a fight too. It is not super deep or anything like that, but I still enjoyed it and liked how not every fight was just a button mashing kind of thing.

Pros:

• I really do like the visuals
• It is cool how you can either kill or harvest your opponent
• The fighting has more depth than you would think
• There are some nice RPG style elements in the game too

Cons:

• I do wish that there was more of a story linking things together
• The harvest and kill animations are great, but I wish there were more of them
