Everybody Needs Love

No one wants to be lonely, not even building-sized monstrosities that can’t walk through a city without destroying everything in their path. Players will embody a Kaiju named Gigachu. Gigachu is big, scary, and also a hopeless romantic looking for someone to share their life with.

Help Gigachu find their soulmate out of a cast of 6 other Kaiju as you take them on dates across 24 recognizable landmarks that will no doubt fall to your immense size and love. Ask questions, tell them about yourself, and maybe you’ll find a Kaiju like you to retreat back into the sea with.

Nonlinear Gameplay

Kaichu doesn’t force its players down a single path, making them date Kaiju and go on dates in any particular order. Players are completely free to explore the map and engage with the 6 other Kaiju in any order they like! There is no right or wrong way, just follow Gigachu’s heart and you’ll know what is right.

This open-ended gameplay lends itself well to the flexible storylines contained within. Each Kaiju has its own background, likes, and dislikes, and depending on how those dates go, their storylines also have multiple endings. It won’t always end well, but even bad dates will get Gigachu closer to understanding what it is they actually want in a partner besides claws and atomic breath.

Not JUST a Dating Sim

The thing about Kaiju is that they are famously non-verbal. So, how do you date if you can’t speak to each other? Well, these Kaiju have figured it out, but the citizens of the places they visit won’t like it very much.
