TV shows from the 80s are some of the most fun, recognizable programming for several generations of people. The golden age of TV is responsible for churning out a few timeless classics that are still enjoyed by many all the way up to the modern-day. One of these classic shows is Knight Rider: The Game, starring David Hasselhoff. This show takes viewers on the many adventures of Michael Knight, a resurrected spy, and KITT, his AI-powered supercar as they work together to fight and stop evil wherever it lurks.
The show was so popular that it earned itself a video game adaptation many decades later called Knight Rider: The Game. This vehicle-based action-adventure title captures the thrill and engagement of the show while modernizing it in an interactable format for fans new and old. If you are a fan of 80s TV, Knight Rider in particular, or if you just like car games, you should check out Knight Rider: The Game, and here is everything you need to know.
Knight Rider: The Game features explosive gameplay that takes place completely behind the wheel of KITT. You’ll deploy from a mobile carrier and follow a set path of streets while either racing to catch an enemy vehicle or getting to a specific destination as soon as possible. In both cases, you’ll have to use KITT’s turbo boost and the environment to speed through levels, occasionally zooming over ramps and avoiding enemy obstacles like bombs and debris.
If you have played a video game called Spyhunter at any point in your life, Knight Rider: The Game is presented an awful lot like that, just without the weaponry. Spyhunter gives you access to machine guns, missiles, and gadgets, while Knight Rider: The Game mostly relies on its turbo boost and witty dialogue to add flavor to its game.
Plenty for Fans to Enjoy
Knight Rider: The Game doesn’t squander its licensed nature. It features iconic characters from the show that appear periodically throughout the campaign, and you do of course play as Michael Knight. KITT is also carefully modeled after its initial appearance in the 80s, and also has recognizable sounds and dialogue occasionally.
As you speed through levels and complete objectives, you will be tasked with tracking or taking down enemies from the tv show as well. Chase down bank robbers, stop terrorists, and save the day. These are just some of the things you’ll do throughout Knight Rider: The Game’s campaign, and since you’re doing it behind the wheel of KITT, you know you’ll be doing it in style.
If you have 80s nostalgia and are looking to tap into those glory days on television, you could do a lot worse than enjoy Knight Rider: The Game and all of the epic racing action it has in store for you.
- The game looks and sounds just like the show
