Transformative Summer: Life With a TS Companion

I had a smile on my face the whole time I was playing Transformative Summer: Life With a TS Companion, and I can see why this game has built up a pretty dedicated following. It has a bit of a slice of life vibe about it, and it is honestly one of the best and most fun trans games that I have played over the last couple of years. It does have a couple of quirks that stop it from being great, but that does not take away from the fact that I was having a great time while playing through this game.

30 Days Of Sex

The premise of the story in Transformative Summer: Life With a TS Companion is a lot of fun. We play the role of a dude who has a roommate called Akira, but they want to become a woman, and the way that they can make this happen is that once they have transitioned, they have to have so much sex in 30 days or the transformation will not be permanent. Oh, there is also something where we may become gay as well! It is a fun premise, and it has a bit of a quirky vibe about it that I really liked.

Building A Connection

While the premise of Transformative Summer: Life With a TS Companion is a lot of fun, I do think that they could have done a bit more with the story. I get that there is a bit of a translation issue here, but the story is easy enough to follow on with, and it does have some charm to it. I just wish that they had gone a bit further with the story, as the characters are cool, and I would have liked to have seen more of a connection built between the characters, as well as all of the sex that they are having.

Lending A Helping Hand

If someone were to say that they think Transformative Summer: Life With a TS Companion is best described as a lewd visual novel, I would not have an argument against it. However, it does have a bit more to the gameplay than just making narrative choices. To start with, you get to help your newly turned female friend dress up in certain clothes. You need to decide if you want to go outside or stay inside, and you get to pick between going to sleep or, of course, having sex with her. The gameplay loop never changes, but it never overstays its welcome either. I would say that you are looking at a couple of hours, tops, to make it all the way to the end of the game.

She Is Turning Into A Cutie

I am a massive fan of the awesome pixel art style that they have gone for with Transformative Summer: Life With a TS Companion. This is a great looking game, and I just love how it has a ton of personality. One of the most interesting things about the presentation is that you get to have sex with your newly transitioned buddy in many different ways. However, the sex scenes are not just happening; you actually have to control them and make them do it. I get that for some, they would rather just see it happening, but I liked having this extra bit of interactivity.
