Wipeout 2 is a game where you go through a series of exciting and challenging obstacle courses that will have you laughing out loud as you compete against other players. This game show-themed contest features eight different contestants, and the goal of the game is to make it through the courses as fast as possible. The game was developed by Activision and focused on motion sensor controls. The game is available for PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and Xbox 360. During your ascent up the podium in Wipeout 2, you'll laugh out loud at the hilarious wipeouts that your opponents suffer during their attempts to win a spot on the podium.
A Gauntlet Through Chaos and Excitement
Wipeout 2 is a chaotic and exciting game where you compete against other players as contestants on a TV game show. The excitement of the game comes from all the action going on around you, in the form of multiple obstacles and the quick reaction necessary to win. The game has an easy to learn controls, and when you first start playing, it's easy to get into. The best part about Wipeout 2 is its replay value: no matter how many times you play the game, it is always fun if you are playing with friends or family.
Wipeout 2 will have you laughing out loud as you compete against other real-life players for a spot on the podium. You can play against friends and family members, or even those with whom you may be unfamiliar. But this is where the game mostly excels, as a party game.
Becoming Your Obstacle
The game is divided into eight episodes, and they are all precisely the same: an obstacle course, Wipeout 2, gets in its way because when you don't have friends, the gameplay consists of running, crouching, and jumping. This makes it so the replayability value here is meager.
Players who are not very keen on time trials will surely be disappointed in Wipeout 2 since this is everything the game offers. The graphics, sound design, and level design are all very subpar here and will quickly make even the most devout fans of the show and mini-game genre give up. Wipeout 2 also offers very little in terms of content, with the entirety of the game being beatable in one hour or so.
Wipeout 2 is a decent game for anyone looking to have fun with friends and get a great workout (if you have the motion controllers). It's easy to pick up and play, but once you start competing and playing against other players is when the game is the most fun. The best part about this game is that everyone has access, and as a party game, it is very family-friendly. Sadly, the game loses its charm very quickly.
