Ataegina

The version of Ataegina I played had an “act 1” slapped on the title so it is safe to assume that there is more to come from this lewd fantasy adventure game. I was pulled in when I saw this ripped demonic looking chick and I decided that I needed to see more of her! The developer here clearly has a goal in mind here and if you want a fantasy epic with some hot chicks in it, you can certainly do a great deal worse here. I liked what I played, but I do think that they could tweak a few things for the next act.

Finding Your Footing In A Fantasy World

In Ataegina, we play as a mage’s assistant and we have gone to a magical school to hone our craft. We end up on a wild adventure in this fantasy world where war, corruption, and a great deal of lust are running through the land. This is a pretty well-developed world and the developer has gone to great lengths to write a lot of backstory and lore for this land. Hey, I like this kind of thing so I applaud them for it. I would just recommend that you hold off playing this game until you have the time and energy to really pay attention and focus.

Demons, Babes And Mage’s!

There are many characters that you will come across on your journey in Ataegina and like the main story, most characters have a great deal to say. Granted, pretty much every fantasy trope you could imagine is here, but I do think it is impressive that they tried to give so many characters actual personalities. I do though think that they could have gone for the less is more approach with some of the characters and story beats that the game has as some of the dialogue is a bit long winded in places, especially when sometimes it feels like you have heard the same thing before, but worded in a different way.

The Right Direction

On paper, Ataegina has a lot going on as far as the gameplay goes. It has many RPG elements, there is sandbox style exploration, there is lewd visual novel style dialogue choices and there is turn based combat. However, this is a very, very easy game. The combat, for example, you just spam your most powerful attack and you will never lose. The exploration is simple as 9/10, there is only one right place to be or go to at a time and the game just tells you when you are in the wrong place. Even the dialogue and other choices you make feel like they are taking you where you want to go. It is not bad, far from it, but it is a game that gives you choices, but they feel mostly like an illusion. However, I would counter this by saying that the game being easy does make it a more chilled out kind of experience and makes it easier to really focus on that pretty deep and long story.

Fulfilling Your Fantasy!

If the gameplay is a tad too easy for you or if the story is not exactly grabbing you, the visuals in Ataegina may be what keeps you playing this game. There is a great selection of ladies in this game and while they are all your typical fantasy type characters, they are all nice and hot! I will say that some characters do share very similar features, but I was able to look past that. There are some animated sex scenes in the game and while they are short animation loops, they are still hot and very welcomed when they happen. The animation in the combat though is very basic, like a couple of frames here and there when an enemy attacks. Overall, I do like the fantasy world that they have created here, especially as it is populated with some very nice looking ladies.

• Many of the characters have a well developed personality
• The chicks in this game are so hot!
• It is a very easy game to play through

Cons:

• There is pretty much no challenge as the game is so easy
• I liked the story, but I can see why some may struggle to get into it
