Cultivation Tales

Many people join MMOs not because they want to go on quests or battle others, but because they enjoy the more quiet activities of crafting and gathering. In Cultivation Tales, crafting and gathering are at the forefront of activities. The game revolves around choosing one of many ‘factions’ and becoming a master at it. This includes hunting, fishing, collecting, logging and mining. As you get better at these skills, you can make more advanced objects to protect yourself and your community.

Fighting is of course a part of the game as well. There are monsters you may need to gather ingredients from, and who will attack you. Your goal is to build up enough resources to apply for deism, or becoming a God of the realm. This is a long process which includes surviving long enough to collect the right resources, and following all the right steps to become a God.

Unique ways of moving around

One of the first ways this game stands out is how you get around the game. Unlike standard games where your choices are essentially sprinting and walking, Cultivation Tales gives you several options for moving around. You can walk and sprint of course, but can also dodge, stand on your sword to fly, run on the water, swim, and even feign death.

PVE and PVP Available

If you don’t like the battle aspects of games, there will be an option for you. In the PVE mode your goal will be to unite all the factions and work together to fight monsters and create a unique civilization. In this mode, you can’t take resources from other players, and must use dialogue to communicate your needs. In PVP, it’s a free-for-all. You can attack other players to get the items you need and serve your own faction the best.

Guild System

Cultivation Tales also has a guild system to help solve disputes between members of the same faction. The leader of the guild will help figure out how to solve problems and keep everyone working together for the greater good.

A unique survival game

Cultivation Tales stands out among other crafting-based games. If you were to mix Final Fantasy XI with Terraria, you might end up with something similar to this game. While farming and crafting are at its core, fighting mobs and leveling your character are also just as important.

It’s unknown at this time how much questing will be involved and any other content. What we do know is that this game will be an interesting exploration of survival, crafting, and the road to becoming a god.
