Not so long ago, a new urban planning/survival strategy game called Dawn of man came into the market which also means and is referred to as the Dawn of humanity. This time, we have to survive in a rather non-standard setting, a primitive community. Dawn of Man is a great strategy with interesting gameplay and smart development of the settlement. This game is highly recommended to all those people who are fans of strategies, tricks, plans and mindful playing.

How Is It Played?

What if you are given the chance to manage an entire settlement, developing it from a small community into a large settlement? And now imagine that this all happens during the stone age when you need to defend yourself not only from attacks of tribesmen, predatory animals but also try to survive the change of weather conditions (this is not living in an apartment).

First, we are given a small settlement with only 5 inhabitants, from which we need to build a community. Our task is to issue orders to our dummy for assembling, cutting, and building huts. For successful collection of supplies, hunting or surviving the winter, we are given points of science, for which we can open new buildings, religion (in some way), taming animals, and so on. The game is very well developed and every time it is interesting to open a particular branch of development.

To achieve your goal, namely building a community, you will need to develop your tribe, because if there is no development, new people will not come so often, and the birth rate will fall to a minimum. Well, do not forget about such a small thing as old age, which, by the way, is arranged a little strange.

Dawn Of Man And Civilization

Atmospheric game looks very profitable. Why? Well, look, there is a Civilization that covers a lot of epochs, but passes through them quite superficially, without lingering on the development, protection, and survival in a certain era. Yes, the functionality of these two strategies is very different, but it is the attention to detail in Dawn of Man that captivates players from the very beginning. Where only a couple of hours have passed in civilization, Dawn of Man takes dozens and dozens of hours to develop, protect and strengthen your village. Moreover, just like in civilization, we can build several points of our settlement, so as not to run from the edge of the map and back. However, I have not fully reviewed this feature and how well it will eventually work is still a question.

The game is an amazing delight for all the people who love to play games of analytical thinking and strategies. Even if you are not a fan of such strategic games this game is worth a try!
