For the Queen

I had to talk about For the Queen with you today as I write this it has just been fully released. I spent a ton of time with the demo and was pretty blown away by what I experienced. This is one of the highest quality lewd games that I have played in quite some time and it is a damn fine lewd RPG in its own right that has auto chess and roguelike elements to it as well. I almost forgot to mention that the game looks great too!

A Skeleton Knight

I was very impressed by the story that For the Queen was telling. The title is actually very fitting as we play the role of a Skeleton Knight that serves the queen. However, we are dealing with some memory loss and the only way for us to get it back is to lay waste to the various villages of other races like humans, elves, and more so that we can get our memories back. There is a bit of a twist going here with our relationship with the queen and I was never quite sure if I was playing the role of a hero or villain which I thought was cool.

Two Different Styles

I fell in love with the presentation of For the Queen pretty much right away. As far as the actual gameplay goes here, it is all done in a Chibi retro kind of style that I like. While the character sprites are small, they are very well detailed. However, it is the character art and the XXX content that is so amazing here. This game has some fantastic lewd fantasy artwork that looks so great, I would hand on heart buy an artbook for this game. The characters have this blend of anime and fantasy about them which I just love. I also want to mention that the sound design in this game is fantastic as well. The XXX content is awesome as it feels like you are getting a reward for a job well done.

The Tools At Your Disposal

At its core, I would probably say that strategy RPG is the best way to describe the kind of game that For the Queen is. You have to build your team of troops and combine various units to try and make them the ultimate killing team. All of the work that you do here is before the battles, the battles happen automatically so it is what you do before and after a fight that will dictate how you do. I will admit that it is certainly not a game for everyone and there is a bit of a learning curve here, however, it has one of the most satisfying gameplay loops that I have seen in a lewd game in quite some time.

That Addictive Quality We All Love

The core gameplay of For the Queen is something that I enjoyed immensely. However, I have to say that the progression system here is just so addictive. You can get various upgrades, and new weapons, there is a skill tree, and so on. All the stuff that you would expect in a game like this. The way that the maps are procedurally generated ensures that you never know for sure what you are going to be facing. The quality of this is just outstanding, it is as high quality as any AAA strategy RPG!

Pros:

• I enjoyed the fantasy story
• The gameplay here is very deep
• I liked building my squad and watching how it faired in battle
• The XXX content is awesome and the game looks great!

Cons:

• While I like the kind of small Chibi style, just imagine if the whole game looked like the cut scenes!
• This game does have a rather steep learning curve
