Hodalen: The Cursed Forest

Howdy my fellow lewd game aficionados, today we are checking out Hodalen: The Cursed Forest. As I write this, this game is brand-new and things here are very, very early in the game’s development. This is a very early demo, pretty much borderline being a proof of concept. Still, I think what is being done here is cool, and if you do like the game and if you want to help keep it moving, you can throw them a few bucks on Patreon.

Those Damn Dark Elves

At the minute we do not exactly have a deep story in Hodalen: The Cursed Forest. However, there is the basics of a premise here and the fantasy-type setting is something that I personally can get behind and think is pretty cool. We play as this big tree-looking dude who is there to protect Hodalen from the invading dark elves that want to cause trouble. What is kind of interesting is that the bones are here for something cool and I am interested to see how it all evolves as the game gets deeper into development.

Almost “Unreal”

The engine they are using for Hodalen: The Cursed Forest is UE4 and that is very evident if you have ever played any other lewd game made with UE4. The tree-looking dude that we play as is super strange-looking, like a sexed-up Groot with a massive dong is probably the best way to describe him, or that weird Tree Rex guy from Skylanders, but if he spent the afternoon at the porno store.

The Dark Elf in the game looks pretty hot and that is cool. The dark and scary world that the game is set in also looks pretty good. There is not much lewdness in the game yet, but what is here is done well enough. The thing is, the Dark Elf is cute, but the tree guy is pretty hideous so it may turn you off a tad.

Catching Elves In A Jar

Hodalen: The Cursed Forest is a 3rd person game. You walk around the woods trying to avoid the attacks from the Dark Elf. This is easier said than done as the attacks come from all angles and it can be hard to know where to run to avoid them. You are trying to find and catch her so you can bang her and show her that these are your lands.

There is no mini-map, no waypoints and you can get stuck on rocks, trees, and so on. The game is very, very early in development. I like the idea of what is going on here and think that they have some good ideas, there just is not a great deal to talk about.

Pros:

• I do like the premise this game has going on
• The tree dude you play as is very well designed
• That Dark Elf is pretty damn hot
• What we have so far serves as a good proof of concept

Cons:

• The game is very, very far from being complete
• You can play the game for like 15 minutes and see everything this demo has
