For me what really grabbed my attention at first and made me want to keep playing the game was the visuals. Innocent Witches is a truly amazing looking game, the artwork here is some of the best I have seen from a game of this style. The artist has done a phenomenal job here with the character designs. Seeing your favorite Harry Potter characters in a more grown-up and adult way if you know what I mean is way more appealing than you may think.

While the character models are of course what grabs your attention at first. The backgrounds as well are very well done. There are so many details and little touches that you just want to take it all in. The visual presentation is so good that it makes the real lack of any meaningful soundtrack the more apparent.

Hello, I Am Harry Potter

The actual story of the game did not click with me at all, but to be fair I am not a Harry Potter fan. Sure, I have seen the movies, but that is all I know. Still, dealing with characters that I know from the movies and seeing them in such a different light was very interesting. I have a feeling that if you are really into Harry Potter that you will probably think this is either really cool or a step too far.

Most of the game has you clicking around and interacting with people and objects. When you are dealing with people you have options that you can pick to steer the conversation in a particular way. The game handles this very well and there are multiple ways that plot points can unfold. You also have magic and other such things that you can do as well and these are fun, but I feel they could be a tad more interactive.

I think if I was more of a Harry Potter fan that I would be more into what Innocent Witches is offering. Still, just taking it from a purely game point of view. I can see that there is a lot of good here. The actual game has more to do than you would think and it does have many ways you can steer the story. Above all else, it is the incredible artwork that is the most impressive aspect of this game for me.
