Rise of Eros

Rise of Eros started life out as a mobile game, but it is now here on PC and after spending some time with it, I wanted to talk about it. Look, let’s get this out of the way right now, this is a free to play Gacha RPG and it pretty much contains all of the things that you hate about a game like this. If that is a turn off for you, walk away right now as even with the lewd content, the gameplay, and the drop rate is going to be something that has you pretty angry. Now, with that being said, I do think this game has some good ideas and I did not hate playing this.

Eros Has Returned!

The story and world in which Rise of Eros is set in is pretty interesting. There were two gods, Eros and Aphrodite and as time went on, more gods rose and eventually, Eros was betrayed, the gods were all gone and Eros was left sealed away for generations. That is until he was awakened and now, he is going on an adventure with a collection of hotties to try and get back his power and find out what is happening. The bones for a good story are here, but it is about as shallow as you can get in the way that it is presented.

My Girls Have My Back

Rise of Eros does have some decent ideas as far as the combat goes. For a mobile game, it has a very AAA title flair to it. It is a very basic RPG where you need to pick your best party members, fight enemies, take on bosses, and complete quests. The thing is, you can clearly tell that this is a mobile game as it is all flash and no substance. You click and touch characters, but they more often than not just do the action, it feels like you have very little interaction. I get you could say this is the case with many RPGs, but I feel like they could have done something to have a bit more interaction from the player. It is a shame too as I think the combat can be fun, but you pretty much see all the good it has to offer in that first hour or so.

I Need About Tree Fiddy!

As I said in the intro, Rise of Eros is a free to play Gacha RPG and everything you hate about this is here and present! I legit got to a point where unless I spent money on this potion, I could not progress for a few days…. A few days, what makes this game so special that I am going to rush back to it, stop playing the other stuff I am playing, and pick it back up? Granted, I could “pay” to keep on playing, but like many other mobile games that have been released on PC, it always feels like it has its hand out and I hate that. Just let me pay for the whole game and let me play it!

So That Is Where The AAA Comes From

While the story and the predatory Gacha style gameplay of Rise of Eros may not have hooked me, the visuals certainly did. To say that this game is stunning is a massive understatement! The way the characters look is fantastic, their skin, their faces, and all of the XXX stuff they get up to is just so very well done. Granted, how long you stick with the game will decide how much of this you get to see, but I will admit, I was blown away by how good these ladies looked and I have played a ton of lewd games over the years. Even the actual game when you are in combat and the characters do not just have all their stuff on display looks great.

Pros:

• I liked the idea of the god, Eros
• The RPG combat has something about it that is fun
• The characters are absolutely stunning!
• This is one of the best looking XXX games I have seen in quite some time

Cons:

• I hate and I mean hate the free-to-play gameplay model
• You can only get so far if you do not spend any money
