Rune Fencer Illyia is a platform action-metroid that combines a passion for adventure, caring for family and one girl's magical abilities to explore a whole huge world. Runes and Steel are your faithful helpers on adventures through the forsaken realms of an abandoned world.

Sisters of the runes

Rune Fencer Illyia is a peculiar amalgamation of such titans of the adventure genre as: Zelda, Hollow Knight, and Brave Fencer Musashi. Illyia and her twin sister Lillia can't live without exploring. To avoid getting into trouble and incurring the wrath of the dungeon dwellers, the girls train carefully. Swordsmen who can use runic signs in combat are an invincible duo. The sisters thought so too, but their self-confidence was undermined by an attack on their airship by a huge monster that dragged Lillia away and left Illya alone in a new world.

Secrets Hidden in the Ruins

A ruined kingdom, ruins full of mystery and mystery, and not a single hint of her twin sister. Illya will have to investigate the mystery of her sister's attack and abduction, as well as learn the history of the ruined kingdom. Full of secret passages, the world is more for exploration than combat. But the combat system doesn't leave you bored either. Illia can use two types of combat:

• Attacking and deflecting sword blows.
• Using runes. Runes can be temporarily stolen from enemies and enhance Illia's spells, or even invent new ones.

Metroidvania has endowed the platformer with collection fever. Throughout the levels you have to look for secrets, pebbles and unusual herbs, which are collected in specially designed inventories for this purpose.
