I have had a friend tell me for a while now that I have to try out Jelly Mario. I can tell you right away that this is probably the strangest fan game, hack, or whatever you want to call it to star the famous plumber I have ever played. It is the kind of game that does not have a ton of depth, but at the same time, it is the kind of game that you will keep playing to try and get better.
Super Mario Bros
This game is based around the first Super Mario Bros game for the NES. There is no actual story here and the full game is not even here. Instead, you have just the first couple of levels to play through. What I feel is quite clever about this is that in Jelly Mario, you are actually playing the two levels of that original game that most gamers know inside and out better than anyone. This was very, very clever and I will explain in a minute.
Super Floaty Mario!
The gameplay here is what makes Jelly Mario so strange and interesting and also in a strange way, so addictive. Most people have played these levels a million times and other Mario games tons of times too! We all know how to play these classic Mario games and that is what this game is taking advantage of. Your brain is telling you to do something and that something should be a certain way and then the game just slaps you in the face.
Instead of just running and jumping, Mario just sort of floats. The arrow keys can move him around, but you have very little control over Mario, and the last thing you need to build up any kind of steam. There are enemies and so on that, you can bump into, and doing so will cause you to explode! It is the kind of thing that feels very frustrating, but you also want to keep at it to see if your classic Mario skills can translate in any way.
Bendy And The Goomba Machine
If you have played the original Super Mario Bros, when you first fire up Jelly Mario, you will be greeted with a real sense of familiarity and I like that. Then as soon as you start moving, you notice what is up. The game has a very “jelly” look to everything as it all floats (they all float down here!) and bends in a very strange way that looks like the classic game, but it just kind of messes with your mind.
I have to be honest with you guys and say that there is not really a great deal to say about Jelly Mario. It is the kind of game that you have to just jump in and play to see what all of the fuss is about. There are many games that fans have made with these classic Mario games, but most of them tend to take what we already know and love and build on that. Instead, what we have here with this game is something that tries to mess with you and it does in a very fun way.
- It looks like the classic Mario game
- I love the way things in this game move
- It has a very addictive thing about it
- This is a game that is a lot of fun to play with other people
- There is not actually a great deal to the game
- It is fun to play, but I am not sure I will come back to it time and time again

Jelly Mario is a free browser video game that offers a unique and innovative gaming experience. Developed by Steffan Hedman, this fangame transforms Nintendo's iconic character, Mario, into a kind of jelly jellyfish. In addition, all aspects of the game's physics have been modified to be floating and gelatinous.
About the game
Jelly Mario offers a gameplay experience unlike anything seen before. The jelly and floating feel makes the game more challenging, as the character does not move with the same precision as in classic Mario games. This change in the physics of the game also forces the player to adapt and experience new ways to overcome obstacles.
Another interesting aspect of Jelly Mario is its visual art style. The graphics are simple but effective, and the use of a vibrant and bright color palette makes the game visually appealing. The background music is also nice and fits the atmosphere of the game perfectly.
The premise of the game is simple: the player must guide Jelly Mario through different levels while facing challenges and obstacles. As the character moves, his body swings and stretches, making him more difficult to control than the original Mario. Like any game, Jelly Mario has advantages and disadvantages. Among the advantages is the unique and innovative gameplay experience it offers. The change in game physics and visual style make the game fun and engaging. However, one of the disadvantages of Jelly Mario is that it can be frustrating for some players. The character is difficult to control and can be unwieldy in some levels. Also, although the background music is pleasant, it can become repetitive after a while.
Compared to other similar games, Jelly Mario stands out for its unique gameplay experience. Unlike Super Mario Bros., which focuses on precision and control, Jelly Mario focuses on adaptation and experimentation. It is also interesting to compare Jelly Mario to another platform game, Celeste. Although both games have a simple visual art style, Celeste focuses on precision and speed, while Jelly Mario focuses on adaptation and exploration.
Overall, Jelly Mario is a fun and exciting game that offers a unique and innovative gameplay experience.
