The Kids We Were is an adventure game that takes you on a fascinating journey through Japan. Unusual voxel graphics give the project from indie developers from GAGEX a memorable visual style.
Japan in the 80s
In the story you need to help the protagonist named Minato to spend his summer vacation in a useful way. He dreams of finding his father, who is rumored to live in the old town of Kagami, not far from Tokyo. But here all he finds is a diary that he can use to travel through time. Now Minato must travel back in time to find out all the secrets of his family.
Gameplay
The plot is similar to the story from the famous Terminator, isn't it? The gameplay is similar to Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Dinkum, but the action develops depending on the choices you make in the numerous dialogues and decisions you make.
During the course of the game you will communicate with multiple NPCs, listen to old music, collect items from the past, look for clues, perform simple quests, solve puzzles.
