What follows is a chaotic descent into the depths of depravity, as the main character’s dreams of a private harem get squashed by a pesky demon maid.

After being sent to another world, our protagonist immediately embarks on the most noble of quests: to form the largest harem the world has ever seen. Unfortunately for him, one of the first girls he enlists for this task is Ruru – a demon maid who might interfere just a little bit with his plans.

You see, Ruru wants the protagonist for herself, and sees any other girl in the realm as a threat. So, if you still haven’t got your share of jealous waifus with MiSide, Trouble iN The aRena might just do it for you. Ruru is amazing, by the way: she’s rather well-written and never fails to entertain (or arouse).

Details, Details, Details

As a visual novel, Trouble iN The aRena isn’t exactly leading the charge in terms of interactivity. Beyond clicking through endless dialog boxes, you won’t be doing much in this world of fantasy and lusty maidens. However, that doesn’t mean your experience will be entirely unpleasant.

Trouble iN The aRena uses high-poly character models for each character. Sure, it’s all pre-rendered, but it looks convincing enough to get passing marks in the visual department. It won’t make your GPU cry in the same way as Honey Select 2: Libido, but it’s great news for those with integrated graphics or those playing on a Steam Deck.

A World to Dream Of

As I played Trouble iN The aRena more and more, I began to notice something: I was actually invested in these characters. I know porn games aren’t exactly the pinnacle of plot progression and character development, but Trouble iN The aRena manages to keep you invested in its wacky premise with well-written characters and enticing intimate scenes.

While some visual novels drag on for hours before things get good, Trouble iN The aRena kicks things off with a bang – and never stops being a great time.
