NES Cheats

Action sequences only

Enter TGL followed by spaces as a password. All adventure sequences will be skipped.

Sound test

Hold A + B and reset the NES. Press Left or Right to select a sound, Up to play, and Down to stop.

Display game text

Complete the first action sequence and enter the first labyrinth room. Hold Select + B to display all text in the game, starting with the introduction.

No Adventure Scene

To skip the adventure scenes that break up the outer-space shoot-em-ups, type in TGL and spaces for the rest of the positions. Now the game is a straight shooter - you'll warp from one flying sequence to the next!

Special Sound Test

To enter a secret sound test mode in The Guardian Legend, hold both 'A' and 'B' on controller one and turn on the game!
