NES Cheats

Level select

Select a one player game and set the following options: "Music" to "Off, "Speed" to "High", and "Round" to "10". Hold Up and press Select. The phrase "Round 11" will appear to confirm correct code entry. Press Select again to increase the level number.

Play Extra Levels

Here is a code to access level 11 through 99. Go to the Options Screen. Set the music to OFF, set the speed to HI, and the round to 10. Then hold UP and press the SELECT button. The 10 will change to an 11. From here, you can change any option you like and you can move the round number up to 99!

Nag Extra Levels

In the Options, set the music to OFF, the Speed to HI and the round to 10. Then hold UP and press the SELECT button.

Expert opponents

Select Vs. mode and set the Mode option to "COM".

Hold L + R + X and press Start to

begin game play. Yoshi's name will be spoken to confirm correct

code entry. During game play, opponents will change color and

become more aggressive.

Bonus level

Select action mode on the title screen and press Start.

Set the round option to "10", the speed option to "Hi",

and the music type option to "Off". Press L +

R + Select + Start on controller two. Yoshi's

name will be spoken to confirm correct code entry. The starting

round may now be increased to include the ending and bonus levels.

Passwords for levels

Level 5-5: Password is 5G9SVLM; Level 6-5: Password is TWPSV0V; Level 7-5: Password is .96?VY5; Level 8-5: Password is F_96VL2; Level 9-5: Password is 7X5BV52; Level 10-5: Password is J4JDVY2.

Note: Use the D-pad to select a starting round beyond 10 to enter a password.

Select Extra Rounds

There is a code that allows you to play all the way up to Round 99! To select the extra rounds, use controller 1 and choose the Action Option from the Title Screen. On the Action menu, put the Round number on 10, the speed on high, and the music type should be off. Now, take controller 2 and press and hold the L button, R button, SELECT and START. You will hear the game say, "Yoshi!" At this point, you can change anything you want on the Options Screen to the preferences you desire. Now you can change the Round past 10; all the way up to 99! This means hundreds of new levels are at your disposal! The cookies are now game characters too!
