134:Police

Today we are taking a look at 134:Police which is a lewd adventure/visual novel game. I will be honest and say that this is more of a “preview” than a review as the game has only been out a couple of weeks as I write this and it is very low on content. Still, I think that you can get a good idea of what the vibe and style of the game is already and it is a game that I am very excited to play more of. I get a kick out of cop dramas and crime stories and that mixed with a comedy lewd game was always going to be a recipe that interested me!

A City On Its Knees…. Literally!

The world that 134:Police takes place in is kind of crazy. The city is mostly female and the police are so bad at their jobs that crime is rampant all over the city. The thing is, most of the victims and the perps are all sex maniacs so while there are all kinds of sex crimes going down, everyone from the criminals to the victims to the freaking police themselves are in on it! Heck, the very start of the game has two officers banging! It is a fun premise and I am interested to see it expanded as the game moves along development.

The Lewd Side Of The Vice Squad

Even though there is not exactly a great deal of plot in the current build of 134:Police that I played, I am more than interested in what is going on here. It has a comedy vibe about it, I know that sexual assault is no laughing matter at all, but this game is not taking it seriously and it is more that all the people are sex crazed than people getting straight up assaulted if that makes sense. I hope that they stick with this tone as it is fun and I love how wild and carefree the vice department is here, heck one chick was just sitting at her desk spreadeagle the first time I saw the bullpen! That pretty much tells you that this is a game that is not taking itself seriously as far as the story goes.

A Real Private Dick

That pun was not big or clever, but I am sticking with it. Gameplay wise, 134:Police has you clicking around the different areas to move things along, chat with people and find clues. I think that they have already done a decent job of making this a police/detective type of game. You have two cases at the start of the game (well the build I played) and you get to click around and chat with officers and perps as well as “victims” as you try to figure out what happened. There is not a lot here at the moment, but the potential here for this is sky high. I just love the idea of a lewd detective story that is more played for laughs than trying to be all serious.

A Style All Of Its Own

I am sure many people will be drawn to 134:Police thanks to the very interesting art. It has a kind of 90s/early 00s MTV look about the character designs and that is meant as a compliment. The game looks fantastic and I love the character designs, these are all slutty cops that look like some kind of parody you would see in a porn movie. While the game goes for that cartoon style, I feel that the characters still manage to have a lot of sex appeal and a ton of personality too. In the early build of the game that I played, I did only see a few XXX images, but the ones that I did see were awesome and a lot of fun.

Pros:

• The story is not taking itself too seriously and I love that
• It has detective style gameplay as you try to crack cases
• The art style is very unique and cool

Cons:

• As of writing, there is very little content here
• The premise is great, but the story and characters need fleshing out
