Brothel Hotel

I have played lots of brothel management games, but there was a hook that Brothel Hotel had (which I will get to later in the review) which I thought sounded really cool and interesting. Add to this the very cool and stylish-looking pixel art, and I was sure I was in for one heck of a fun and addictive time. The things, there are many things that I like about this game, but there are a couple of things that keep it hanging around the pretty good lewd games section rather than taking that next step into being one of the greats.

It Is Not Just All About Getting Laid

There is not all that much story going on here in Brothel Hotel. The basics are that you get this brothel, and now you are the one who is running the place. There are different girls that you can capture/hire to have working there, but their personalities never really go beyond skin deep if that makes sense. To be honest, the game does get you into the grind/loop of just trying to make money to keep your business running and growing very early, so you may not notice that there is no big story you are working through.

No Rest For The Wicked Or Horny!

As I said, I have played many brothel management games, but I cannot think of another one that has you be as hands-on as Brothel Hotel does. There is no automation here; you have to do everything yourself, from clicking on the client, taking the girl to the room, and putting the client in there. This is one of those games that always has you doing something. The game gives you a shop, and this is random in what will pop up in the shop, and you will need to purchase stuff like various equipment and costumes. For example, if your brothel gets dirty, clients will rate it low. That is why you need to buy the maid costume to give to one of your girls so that she can clean.

Who Put Up All This Red Tape???

Now, one of the things that I was most excited about in Brothel Hotel before I played it was the extras that you could offer. This may sound weird, but you can basically farm your girls so that you can sell milk, their pee and…. Eggs. However, the cost of setting this all up and keeping it running, versus what you make from it, makes zero sense at all, and that is my main problem with this game. Everything costs way too much money, you grind to make money, but then what you invest into your brothel does not seem to make a difference. Also, if you do not buy the ability to offer milk or eggs, for example, clients never ask for it anyway…. So what is the point?

In The Palm Of Your Hand

Let me tell you, there was nothing in Brothel Hotel that I would describe as being hot, but the visuals in this game are still fantastic and something that I got a real chuckle out of. The game features a very interesting pixel art; it kind of reminds me of something that would have been on the Game Boy Advance back in the day. The ladies who are working for you are freaking adorable, and while getting their “fruits,” as the game calls them, is not sexy at all, it made me laugh the way they would be milked or have what looks like a jar under them to collect their pee. It is all done very well, and while it may not be something that will turn you on, I still think you will get a kick out of it, especially if you enjoy pixel art.

• It would not take much to make this even better
• There is a fantastic brothel management game somewhere in here

• The money you earn and how much things cost is really off
