In this wholesome game aimed at preschoolers, Candyland Adventure takes you through the bright and beautiful land from the board game. This time, you’ll be helping save King Candy so the candy shop can have enough candy once again. The game offers simple choices for children, allowing them to do tasks such as find candies or coloring ice cream to progress in the quest.

Beyond just the basic games, there are plenty of little secrets to explore. Click on random objects in each scene and you’ll be treated to cute animations and surprising reactions. Click a log and you may be treated to a rendition of the song, “One speckled frog.”

There’s plenty to keep preschoolers busy without overwhelming them with difficult. The game has a similar look and feel of Barney’s Hide and Seek Game, another preschool game from that era.

These features add a lot more play value to the game, since you never know what clicking around will do.

Multiplayer

This game has a few starter options for kids, explained simply so they can choose for themselves. The first option is whether you want to play with one or two players, and the second is how hard you want it to be.

Although the game allows two players, it does not do so with an internet connection. You will essentially have to have two people sharing the computer, and take turns on the game.

Kids don’t mind the flaws

Candyland Adventure is not perfect. The games graphics are very plain, it can take a long time for different sections of the game, and it can only be played on older operating systems. Despite these flaws, kids don’t seem to mind the issues of the game even when it involves lag.

Since it is for the younger set, the multiple characters with the same voice actor and poor graphics seem to go unnoticed.

Remarkably stable

Despite the problems with loading, the game very rarely crashes. Even when you are emulating Windows XP or older systems on a new computer, it still only crashes occasionally. This is a big plus for young kids who may be fine with waiting for a game to load, but less fine with watching their work collapse before their eyes.

Huge hit with millennials

Despite this being a children’s game, many millennials remember this game from their childhood. It has a powerful nostalgia factor that makes the game enjoyable to play even when you’re quite a bit older. Many players have mentioned this was their escape as children, and most of the game is committed to memory years later.
