Hidden Post-Apocalyptic 4 Top-Down 3D is a hidden object game that challenges you to find hidden objects in a post-apocalyptic setting. The developers boast a high re-play value as their key selling point because the object you are tasked with finding changes every time you play. The game sets itself apart from other hidden object games because rather than looking at a 2D image, you must pan around a fairly large 3D space to find the objects.

Every time you find an object the computer picks a new one for you, and the search begins again.

Two highly detailed maps

The game offers two different scenes to look through. Each scene has a lot of objects in it, and the scene itself almost tells a story. As you comb through the scene looking for objects, you notice more and more details about the world you’ve come into.

The game lets you zoom in and out to search areas more carefully, but the top-down view never changes. This can make looking in corners a bit difficult, since the camera angle also doesn’t change, leaving you to some awkward angles when trying to search for the items.

When you do succeed though, it can be very satisfying, as the objects are tiny and often surrounded by lots of other tiny items.

Little Gameplay for Price

Although the game looks neat, it is priced at an outrageous $99.99 for a very small amount of content. Although the game boasts about replay value, the simple facts are that there are only two maps, and at most 20 objects. When you can play a similar 3D hidden object game like Out of Sight, and get tons more maps to play for just $6, it doesn’t seem to be worth the enormous price tag. Luckily, you can get this game bundled with others for a fraction of the price, so if you want to play it, you can save $70 by buying it in a package with other games.

Single Player Only

As with most hidden object games, this game is single player, with no multiplayer options. A little bit more unusual is that there appears to be no story to it. Unlike many hidden objects where you unravel a story little by little, the hidden object game is just that—finding objects.

Compared to other hidden object games, Hidden Post-Apocalyptic 4 Top-Down 3D doesn’t have much to offer. It does feature two beautiful maps with a lot of detail, and plenty of objects to find—but that’s it. Most hidden object games feature a variety of maps, and a story to explain why you are looking for objects.
