While I like the series, Kingdom Rush Vengeance is the only Kingdom Rush game you need! This is perhaps better known as a mobile game, but it is the PC version I play. This is a tower defense game and I think that it is one of the best ones you can play. What I really like about this game is that it has a lot of strategy to it. Yet, it has a level of fun, charm, and accessibility that you usually do not get with games of this style!

Your Kingdom Needs You!

There is a bit of a story here with Kingdom Rush Vengeance and it has a fun medieval/ fantasy type of thing where you are in charge of a mighty kingdom and you basically are required to defend it by any means necessary. I do wish that it was a bit more story driven, but I will say that I get a massive kick out of it when they do a new update and add a bit of shtick to go with it.

Towers, It Is Always Towers

The way that Kingdom Rush Vengeance plays is that of your typical tower defense game. You will have waves of enemies that are trying to make their way to and through your kingdom and it is up to you to place the towers in the right place so that they can take down the enemies. You have around 20 towers that you can make use of and each one has a different use. You can position them in certain places, upgrade them, and so on and it is fun to try and figure out what towers work best together and where the best positions are. There are also boss fights in the game too and a whole bunch of levels to test your skills against.

I Need A Hero!

One area where Kingdom Rush Vengeance is a bit different from your typical tower defense game is that you can also have a hero working with you. As I write this there are 15 heroes that you can make use of in the game, my favorite is one of the newer ones, this awesome Jacko lantern Guy which is just so much fun to use. Each character has their own style, abilities, and story. You can actually upgrade your heroes to make them stronger and give them access to new moves and abilities.

Great On Any Kind Of Screen

Like many other games that were made with a mobile version in mind, Kingdom Rush Vengeance has a very bright and colorful look to it. The character designs are fantastic and a whole lot of fun and there is just a ton of personality to everything in this game! It moves at a great pace and I will say that when you play this on your PC, you never lose any of that excellent graphical quality when it is blown up to a bigger size.

I am a huge fan of tower defense games so a game like Kingdom Rush Vengeance was always going to appeal to me. I have tried to play it on my phone, but I just am not a massive mobile gamer so I am sticking with my PC! Anyway, I love the whole vibe that this game has going on. The fun fantasy setting, the awesome selection of heroes, and the way that it is very strategic and also a lot of fun make this one of the best strategy tower defense games that I have played over the last few years.

Pros:
