OlliOlli

OlliOlli is the best skateboarding game I’ve played in years. OK, that might not be a ringing endorsement by itself, given that Skate hasn’t graced consoles since 2010 and Tony Hawk hasn't been relevant in even longer, but OlliOlli really does feel like a worthy successor of that proud tradition, even in its pared-down, 2D form. The emphasis on aggressive forward momentum, long combo lines, and trick improvisation gives gameplay the same infinite replayability, and the brutal, Super Meat Boy- ish difficulty puts afresh spin on the formula. My only solid gripe is the occasionally wonky collision detection, which sometimes causes you to bail for no reason.
