Orveia

Today we are talking about the lewd RPG game Orveia. I always say that I am not someone that considers themselves a “furry” however, I have certainly played a ton of furry games over the years. I guess it all depends just how beast like the characters are for me to be honest with you. What we have here is a pretty decent game that I feel if you are someone that gets a kick out of the whole furry thing will probably be that extra little bit more appealing for you.

Lost In A Strange Land

I do not want to go into spoiler territory here as the story is probably the best thing Orveia has going for it. Anyway, the basics of what is going down here is that we have these two guys, that end up transported and lost in a strange land. That would be a rather tough situation at the best of times. What makes this even more strange and dangerous is that this land is filled with all kinds of beasts!

Two Become One

You know, I am sure I have used that same Spice Girls reference many times before! Anyway, the most interesting aspect about the story of Orveia for me was the dynamic between the two characters. What starts as a quest to want to leave this place, kind of becomes something else as they debate if they even want to leave this place and return to their old lives.

Nose To The Grind

I was impressed with the gameplay in Orveia. What we have here is a lewd RPG that does have a bit of lewd visual novel kind of stuff sprinkled in too. You have an overworld to travel, many different areas to explore, people to chat with, and a combat system that at first glance seems rather basic, but I liked it. The whole game has a kind of retro feel to the gameplay and while as I write this game was not yet complete, I did really enjoy what I was playing. It does as you would expect require some grinding to get those stats up, but I did not find that too obnoxious.

Cell Shaded Beasts

Remember during the Dreamcast days, leading into the PS2 and GameCube how cell shaded graphics were a big thing? Well, the presentation of Orveia kind of reminds me of that. There are some pretty cool and interesting creature designs here and I like how nice and bright everything is. Now, the thing is, this is a game made with the furry audience in mind and while some of the XXX content is good, some of the beast banging just does nothing for me at all, but it is a personal preference thing and I can see why some would dig it.

Pros:

• I liked the two main characters
• I actually got pretty invested in the story
• I thought the kind of cell shaded art style was neat
• The RPG gameplay was fun

Cons:

• There is some grinding that you will have to do here
• Some of those furry XXX scenes just do nothing for me at all
