The game does an amazing job of creating an amazing world, which is filled with NPC’s that give off the feeling that they are actual characters in the story, as each one of them lives their own life, unique personalities, and you can choose to either befriend them and also make some enemies. So choose wisely how you’re going to act around everyone in the world, as it can have a huge effect on your story, and it might end up either being something good, or bad.

Create Your Own Story

What makes Project Witchstone unique, is the fact that the game does not have a predefined story, which means that you have absolute freedom to create and craft a story that is unique to you.

The influence system is the main tool that will allow you to forge your own story, as it gives you the ability to pit people against each other, incriminate factions, and convince powerful allies to aid you in your cause. This makes it that you can manipulate and craft the world as you see fit.

It is not uncommon to see this in other games of the same genre, as an example, The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is also a game in which your actions will influence how the story unfolds, but Project Witchstone gives you way more control of the game. There are so many different scenarios that you can create and play, giving the game even more replayability, as each time you play, you can create and play through a completely new story. You can choose to be completely neutral and just watch as events unfold, or you can create a scenario where you can create a villain, and act as the hero yourself, and if you want to, you can also be the villain.

It is incredible to see what the game offers, and if they can deliver the game, and have this amazing story-telling tool work, Project Witchstone might become a revolutionary game of the RPG genre.

Every single action will activate a chain of events, a simple theft will start an investigation, which can then lead to an arrest, which will then turn into retaliation, and it continues. Giving players the ability to have so much control over the story is amazing, and if done correctly will be amazing.

You will be able to play the game on the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Steam. Sadly the game still does not have a release date, and it was to be released back in 2019. We can only hope that the game is going to be released in 2022, but if it gets delayed again, it wouldn’t be a problem, as long as the game can deliver this world-building system, and that it works the way they are selling it.
