Super Bunny Man

Hop around in this hilarious platformer by yourself or with a friend and try not to fall into oblivion or a surprisingly prevalent spike trap. In Super Bunny Man by Catobyte, you play a man-bunny that must complete a gauntlet of challenges and retrieve the carrot all while avoiding death after every bounce.

Gameplay

The gameplay is quite simple, much simpler than Lets Players make it look. You tilt the character to the desired trajectory and then jump. The levels can get quite tough but you have all the tools to complete the job at your disposal with jumping and grabbing.

You must manoeuvre around spike pits, chasms, boulders, falling spikes and more in order to get to your destination. It has an air of Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy with the unique and goofy handling. Mistakes are bound to happen but you can certainly limit them with skill and practice.

Multiplayer

This games primary focus is its multiplayer. From 1 to 4 players, you can all bounce around this dangerous world together and frustrate the hell out of each other due to the fact that if even one of you dies then the mission is failed. Interestingly, if one dies, the others can still explore the world, try to understand its puzzling layout, locate the carrot and make a guess at where the portal will open for the time that they can all make it.

If there is one point that I must hit on above all else; a selling point to this title so profound and important that it cannot go without specific attention to it. This game is hilarious. Like, really, really funny. Yes, sure, it provides an interesting challenge but where it really shines is how amazingly amusing it is when played with friends.

There’s multiple game modes too, death match where you fight your friends to the death. Basketball which is as you’d expect. There is also the unbridled madness that is Carrot Grab where you strap on a jetpack and collect a many carrots as possible.

Also, now that it has online co-op, you can have a laugh getting frustrated with your friends from afar.

Level design and challenges

The primary goal is to accomplish this within the time frame and with the coveted carrot. The carrot limits your ability to move and provides an interesting challenge for the player to strive toward and adapt to. This tied in with the multiplayer element and the challenges that appear throughout the level alone can actually provide an engaging level of difficulty. The challenges aren’t the only thing that brings joy to the player; the world is also vibrant and pleasant to look at.
