Blue Oak Bridge is a magical farming simulator staged on the island of Eloria. The player must tend to their farm and grow it, while at the same time helping to defeat powerful magic. This delightful game is full of fantasy, magic, and farming—all the right ingredients for a great story.

Wide Variety of Crops

Unlike many farming games that give you just a few staple crops, Blue Oak Bridge lets you work with 50 different types of plants and animals. Some of them are ordinary crops you would be familiar with. Others are more in keeping with the magical aspect of the game.

The magical plants and animals provide ingredients for potions and are extremely useful to grow. Players should grow at least some of these crops as well as the more ordinary ones.

Warm and Colorful Graphics

The graphics are simple and set in warm colors and with a beautiful hand drawn art style. The game’s artwork is reminiscent of Witchy Life Story, right along with the magical theme. The animations are just as pleasant as the graphics, with a smooth flow and extremely cute emotions from the characters.

Not Much Story

It’s safe to say that story is not the strong point of Blue Oak Bridge. The game follows a fairly classic story of waking up with no memories of what has happened. A friendly pirate takes pity on you and gives you as place to live.

This place isn’t the greatest. It’s weed choked and full of rocks, but there is a comfortable cabin, so you make the best of it and start your farm.

The story is mainly just an excuse to explain why you came to the magical lands and isn’t really that important to gameplay.

The good news is the lack of story is balanced by well developed characters. All of the NPCs are well developed with unique personalities.

Dungeon Available

This game essentially lets you want to play the game how you want to play. If you are bored of watching carrots grow, you can try fighting in the dungeon, search for library books, or work on opening new areas for exploration.

Active Developers

It’s unfortunate when you come across a great game only to find it unplayable due to bugs. The developers of Blue Oak Bridge are working hard to make sure that never happens with their game. The developers are invested in the community, and often make changes or add quality-of-life updates to help make the game better. This means that although some bugs do occasionally crop up, they are quickly fixed. The developers also clearly know what’s important to players, with quality-of-life features like the ability to craft anywhere part of the game.
