I recently had the pleasure of playing the latest update of Feline Fantasies that brought the game to a close and I wanted to get my thoughts out about it. This is a furry lewd visual novel and it is made for those of you who have a thing for cats. It features some of the most iconic cats you know and I think that there is a certain level of charm here that many people are going to get a kick out of. I ended up being very, very impressed by this, and the fact it was something the developer really believed in shines through.

Messing With My Head!

Okay, so while the whole “memory loss” thing that Feline Fantasies has going on has been done to death in the world of lewd games. I think that the way this game handles it is rather interesting. We are trying to remember who we are and why we are here, but as well as our own personal trouble, there is also this big bad threat that is looming over Ruby Island where the game is set. It is a very character driven kind of story and it is the conversations and relationships between the characters that really drive the story here.

The Cat Is Well And Truly Out Of The Bag!

With Feline Fantasies being a furry visual novel about cats, the cat roster in this game is pretty insane. From the world of Pokémon, we have Litten, Espeon, and Umbreon. There are Disney cats such as Nala and Dutchess and there are even cats from the world of anime like Blair from Soul Eater. The final version of the game brings us 12 famous felines that we can get to know better. For those that are into this kind of thing that is pretty awesome. I can say that I do appreciate the variety on offer here as it makes it more likely that there will be something for everyone in this game.

Hot or Not?

When it comes to the visuals, what I can say is that the artwork on display here in Feline Fantasies is truly stunning. The artist did a great job here and the game has a very high end anime look to it. Now, as this is a furry themed game, how hot you find the characters is all going to be down to personal preference. Hey, I can appreciate the way that they have made Espeon look sexy, but I never felt the need to see Espeon spreading her legs like this. While I did not find any of the cats in this game sexy, I can still greatly appreciate the talent on display and hey if you do find them sexy, more power to you and I encourage you to have a great time with it!

Out Of The Litter Box

Feline Fantasies is a very, very impressive game. While at its core, a lewd visual novel is how you would describe it as that is what ultimately moves things along. There is far more to the gameplay than just that. You have a selection of mini-games that mix things up and you can pick what difficulty level you want for these. There is even a bit of exploration as well! In all, I was very impressed with just how much diversity there was and while it is certainly worthy of that lewd visual novel tag, it is far more than just another visual novel!

Even though the sexy cats may not have got my motor running, Feline Fantasies is still a fantastic game and a game that could not be any easier for me to recommend. This is a very high quality lewd title that has an interesting story, some very impressive art, and way deeper and varied gameplay than you would think from something that is classed as a lewd visual novel.

Pros:

I got a kick out of the large cat roster of characters!
The art in the game is very well done
You have a variety of mini-games to keep things fresh
I found the story to be well written and it certainly grabbed my attention

Cons:

A couple of the dialogue sections are a tad on the long winded side
I know that some people dig them and they look great, but there is nothing sexy about the characters for me!

Feline Fantasies is a lewd visual novel game that is catering to a really specific audience. I guess you could say that this is going for the furry crowd here as the idea of the game is that we get to see some famous cats from the world of video games, anime, and movies act in very lewd ways. To be fair, the game is very well made and has been a real passion project by the developer for quite some time now. It is completely finished now and I spent quite a bit of time with it and I can see why for those that are into this thing, it is a very positive experience.

The Ruby Island

The setting of Feline Fantasies is a strange place called The Ruby Island which has a Northen and Southern part of the island for us to explore. There is actually quite a bit going on with the plot here in this game. We are trying to find out about ourselves as it is like we have memory loss, but we are also getting to know the “locals” as well, plus there is this threat that is on the horizon that can cause complete chaos and we are lending a helping hand to try and stop it.

More Cats Than On Broadway!

Many years ago, a girl I was dating dragged me to the theatre to see Cats and I hated it! Anyway, while I am not a cat person, Feline Fantasies has some very famous cats and cat like characters and I would say that is the main point of the game. We have some Pokémon style feline characters such as Litten and Umbreon, Disney is represented by Duchess from The Aristocats and there are even some anime cats and other video game cats here too. There is a good mixture of main feline characters in the game and I am sure many people will get a kick out of that.

More Than Just Words

Remember at the start how I said that Feline Fantasies was a lewd visual novel? Well, that is what the developer themselves are referring to the game as, but I would say it is actually way more than that. Yes, there are visual novel elements here and it is probably the main source of gameplay, but there is a lot more. We have some exploration that we can do, there are several mini-games that are basic, but they do a good job of keeping the gameplay interesting and there are even skills that we can learn. I was impressed with how fleshed out the developer made the gameplay.

Here, Kitty, Kitty!

The big selling point for a lot of people with Feline Fantasies is going to be the art. They have done a great job of making these popular characters look like they should, but in a lewd way of course. Now, the whole style of this game is going to be something of an acquired taste. Hey, if you think that Duchess from The Aristocats laying spread eagle showing off her business is not, more power to you! However, while I can appreciate how good the art in the game is, it never got me excited as they look more like regular cats than they do furry characters if that makes sense.

I was very impressed with Feline Fantasies. I will admit that the lewd stuff in the game did nothing for me. However, I thought the story and the way the characters were written was very entertaining. I also liked how the visual novel gameplay was solid, but stuff like mini-games and exploration helped give it a bit more of a lewd adventure game kind of feel. Be sure to give this one a try, even if you do not find the characters sexy!
