Higurashi – When They Cry

Higurashi - When They Cry is a dojin visual novel with detective elements, where you will plunge into the secret world of a small town and learn the terrible secrets behind the cute smiles of pretty girls. In the summer of 1983, Keiichi Maebara comes to the village of Hinamizawa to spend a vacation there. After getting acquainted with the friendly local girls, Maebara invites them to a local festival dedicated to the deity Oyashiro. Except that every year during the festival something wrong happens in the town and it's up to you to find out its mystery.
