|Rhythm Games, Dancing Games, Just Dance Series
Developed by Ubisoft Paris in conjunction with Ubisoft Milan, Just Dance 2015 is the sixth entry in the acclaimed dance game franchise. This is the first version of the game which had an online component, its introduction would serve as the foundation for the online aspect of future series. The game was released in October 2015 and made use of the Kinect motion sensor on Xbox, the PlaystationMove controller on Playstation, and Wii’s joysticks to track players. The game is available on Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii, and Wii U.
There Is a Dance Routine For Everyone
Just Dance 2015 is a rhythm game that focuses on dance moves, and dance routines. It used the motion controllers from consoles at the time to measure the accuracy of moves and grade how well players replicated the moves on screen. This is a perfect party game, that is also an amazing family-friendly title that caters to a very wide audience. The traditional difficulty levels were erased from the game, and now only the regular version alongside an extreme version is included.
The gameplay revolves entirely around mimicking the dance routines that are displayed on the screen. Just Dance 2015 was praised for its casual approach to dance moves, it has a very forgiving timeframe that invites everyone to enjoy this game. It even adds the jump-in multiplayer function that allows players to drop in and out of tracks while they are ongoing, there just isn’t any pressure to perform and that’s what makes this game an entertainment powerhouse.
Fine Tuning the Dance Floor
Added into Just Dance 2015, was a strong social component that granted players the opportunity to challenge other players online, which is a little outside of the casual appeal of the game, but it enriched the overall online environment. Players could also submit their own dance routines to the “Community Remix” which compiled a video of fan-made dances of specific songs of the week.
Performance and quality-wise there were major improvements in the backgrounds, effects, and even the audio of the soundtrack. Clearly, Just Dance 2015, is not wildly different from earlier entries but is a far better, and more polished version. The game also added the opportunity for players to download a mobile app to substitute the motion sensors of consoles.
Finally, the main soundtrack includes over forty-five tracks, but Just Dance 2015 also has twenty-six downloadable tracks to expand dancing routines. The game also has the biggest number of top billboard artists in the franchise, it relied heavily on pop songs which might not please everyone, but it surely has something for everyone.
Just Dance 2015 is a great addition to the franchise, expanding upon its strengths and developing the social and online elements that are required for great multiplayer online games.
