Lego The Incredibles

Lego The Incredibles takes one of the most popular Pixar movies of all time and transforms it into an exciting experience that's perfect for the entire family to play. In this humorous adventure, you and a friend control members of the Parr family, a superhero squad who fight crime in their neighborhood. Jumping from level to level, you'll bash through enemies, solve puzzles, and unlock loads of extra goodies. Plus, with an open-world map full of crimes to stop, there's more than enough endgame content to keep you and the family busy.

Main Game Features

  • Experience this beloved Pixar franchise in LEGO form
  • Simple action and puzzle gameplay
  • Over 110 characters to choose from

Story

Lego The Incredibles adapts the stories of the two Incredibles movies, which follow a family of superheroes who are forced to live normal lives as a part of a relocation program. After spending decades keeping their powers under wraps, the family must use their abilities to defeat an evil villain named Syndrome. The game also features the story from the second film, where the Incredibles fight against a new villain, Screenslaver.

Like the movies that the game is based on, the story is lighthearted and fun, featuring tons of jokes and silly moments. While the game follows the story of the films for the most part, there are some deviations, mostly to make moments funnier or tone down violent encounters. Oddly enough, players are required to complete the missions based on the second film before they can play the missions based on the first film, which spoils a bit of the narrative in the process.

Gameplay

If you've played any other Lego game before, you'll be right at home with Lego The Incredibles. Much like other popular games in the franchise, including Lego Star Wars and LEGO City Undercover, the game offers a mix of standalone missions and open-world gameplay. There are nearly a dozen story missions to complete, playable either solo or with up to two players at once. While you are forced to play as specific characters during your first playthrough, you'll unlock Free Play mode afterward, which lets you use over 100 characters. Each character has special abilities, ranging from ice powers to laser vision and super speed.

Once you're done with the story missions, you can roam around the open city map, completing challenges and other random encounters. There are 20 self-contained challenges to finish, dozens of collectibles to find, and a few bonus levels to unlock. You can unlock extra content by spending LEGO studs, which are earned by simply playing the game and destroying the environment. The controls are simple and easy to learn, making this an approachable game for players of all skill levels.

Conclusion

The Lego game franchise has always been great for some casual fun and Lego The Incredibles is no different. Although there aren't as many story missions as we'd like, the additional open-world map makes up for it. It's a blast to fly through the skies, beat up enemies, and complete puzzles, making this a well-rounded experience with a variety of fun objectives.
