Solvalley School

Not many lewd games have made me laugh the same way that Solvalley School did. This is the kind of game that you have to just take as it comes as it is freaking hilarious if you do. The game is a fun romp that is easy to get into and even though we do have our typical lewd sandbox game style of grinding on offer here, I ended up having a good time with this and think that more people need to give this a try.

Just One Alex And So Many Girls

The whole idea of Solvalley School is one that we have seen a million times before in a lewd game, but I am ok with that. Our main character is a young man called Alex who is trying to do the best he can in life. He is a student, but he also has a job, plus he likes to workout as well. However, the thing he likes most of all is trying to hook up with all the ladies at his school and who live in his town! It has a kind of slice of life vibe about it, but it is mostly about Alex trying to get laid.

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

The best thing about the story that Solvalley School is telling is the humor. This game made me laugh and chuckle so many times as I was playing. It is not all intentional humor with awesome setups and jokes. It is more just the stuff the characters say and react to it. What cemented the fact that this was a game I had to play was that a buddy sent me a photo of this game that he found online and it had a Mia (one of the girls in the game) behind Alex telling him that she did not want to see his hairy ass! That is the kind of funny stuff you can expect in this game!

Using The Cell Processor!

Now that is a throwback reference and if you get it, you are just as big a nerd as I am! Anyway, way, Solvalley School has a rather interesting visual style. It has a very Japanese look to it, but not in the anime kind of style. All of the characters are Japanese and that is something I liked about the game as it has a proper style if you know what I am saying. The characters have a very PlayStation 3 (that is the reference I was talking about) look to them and it is fine. There is a fair bit of XXX content here and most of it is kind of funny, just like the writing so in that regard, it works very well.

Just Do What You Gotta Do!

Part dating sim, part visual novel, and part sandbox game is what we have here with Solvalley School. The game does not dive too deeply into any of the genres and instead is a light sample of them all. There are various stats in the game and there is a bit of grinding, but I have no idea what it all actually does. I just went from encounter to encounter and had a fun time doing so. However, while I was having fun, I know for a fact that there is far more to this game than I saw, but I have not yet felt the need to jump back in and play it again to see more of the XXX stuff.

I have to say that I am glad that my friend sent me that hilarious image of the game that he found online as that was what made me decide to play Solvalley School and I am happy that I did. The story is just crazy and makes very little sense, but the quirky and dumb characters are something that I enjoyed a lot and had some real fun with. As far as the gameplay goes, sure it is not deep, but it is still a fun time and you will be able to tell in like the first five minutes or so if this is a game for you.

Pros:

  • The dumb and odd characters were fun
  • I laughed and chuckled many times while playing this
  • I liked how the game was easy to play
  • There is a lot of content here so if you get really into it, a second playthrough could be fun

Cons:

  • The gameplay may be a bit shallow and boring for some people
  • A couple of the characters do look a bit on the young side

Game Reviews

What’s the sole purpose of going to school? To learn new things and educate yourself? To get amongst your fellow peers and build strong relationships? Perhaps its the extra circular activities that excite you the most? Or most likely, you go to school to slam ass, provided you are in upper education that is. Solvalley high school has your intentions in mind and offers a school based dating simulator where laying as much pipe as possible is the goal and finding love is a welcome bonus.

This game plays like other school based games with dating sim elements such as Persona, Monster Prom, Hatoful Boyfriend and Sakura Scramble. This game lives you all the tools you need to hit it and quit it on a regular basis. However, is this game a hit, or should you just quit? We find out in our review of Solvalley School.

A Lesson In Flirting

First, we take a look at the visuals for this game. We have to say, if you are going for a photo realistic approach, you need to be on the money as there is stiff competition in this genre when it comes to authentic, true to life models and environments. Well, sadly Solvalley doesn’t really hit the mark here. The models and environments are fine, however, they look like models from an older era of gaming. Not quite sharp polygons, but certainly, shiny, unrefined textures. It’s not immersive and a low point of this experience.

The writing is also a little underwhelming too. When you go with such a shallow concept, you are bound to struggle to hook players. The story revolves around flirting and fucking with very little intrigue in between. There are alternative endings and various quest lines. However, it all feels a little bit superficial. So if that’s not your bag, then you better leave this one alone.

However, if you are only here for the smut, this game has plenty of content and it’s all pretty good. There are several main love interests and twelve secondary models which you can have your way with too. There is something for everyones sexual preference on the roster and that is a positive in an otherwise drab experience.

The Verdict

Overall, Solvalley feels like a game that can’t stand up against the other very similar school-based dating sims of this era. The gameplay, writing and art style are all lacking in comparison to the big hitters. The only saving grace for this title is that there is plenty of content to get through.

However, unless you are purely playing for a look at some virtual boobies and nothing more, that might not be enough for you.

Pros

  • Plenty of content to get through
  • Alternative paths and endings

Cons

  • Graphics aren’t great
  • Writing is sub par and superficial
