This slow-paced TetrisTetris You know the routine: A triad of colored objects drops into your window. You must arrange the triad to eliminate matching ones that touch. Trip'd adds strategy with morphing squares, but the game's slow pace kills the fun.
Trip'd's graphics and sound also stumble. Three of the four modes use the same background, and the annoying music doesn't augment the gameplay. Volume control is a blessing.
The control is simple if limited. Two buttons and the directional pad control the triad, but you can adjust only one object per button press, which is frustrating.
Trip'd's new ingredients may spice up the action for puzzle people. For others, though, the game trips and takes a header.
