How on earth did I not know about Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef? I am a massive Warhammer fan, but this game here completely slipped me by. One of the things that is so cool about this game is that it is unlike any other Warhammer game that is out there right now! Instead of being a strategy or RPG, this is a classic side scroller with some truly exceptional hand-drawn art that makes it pop and gives the game a real fun sense of humor and style.

Where Is My Hair Squig???

The whole premise of Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef is poking fun at the Warhammer 40k universe and that is something I think is pretty damn hilarious. The game takes place on the planet of Luteus Alpha, a planet that is very rich with resources. The Warboss, Ogruk Gutrekka is here and once you arrive on the planet, your hair squig is taken and you set off on a blood spilling rampage to get your hair squig back!

War! Good God Yall, What Is It Good For?

The gameplay of Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef can be best described as fast, frantic, and a whole lot of fun. It is a classic style side scrolling platform shooter which kind of gives me Metal Slug vibes in many ways if I am being honest with you. You can pick from one of four classes to play as, each one with its own style of playing. There are many different weapons that you can use as well as an awesome special ability that builds up over time. There is a good variety of classic Warhammer characters for you to kill and some fun boss battles as well.

Killing Orcs With Friends

One of the things that I think is really cool about Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef is that it also has a fun multiplayer component to it as well. You can play through the game on your own, but you can also play with three buddies and you can do this online or via local co-op. I bet that this would be a ton of fun to play with your friends. While you can play through the story together, there is also a PvP mode where you guys can fight it out to see who is the greatest warrior.

So Much Style!

The presentation of Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef is probably going to be one of the major things that draws people to this game. the hand-drawn style of this is truly fantastic and something that I think helps it greatly stand out from the other Warhammer games that have been released over the years. It has a tremendous sense of humor and the cut scenes between levels are just an absolute blast! The game also has this badass and very rocking heavy metal soundtrack that is very fitting!

We usually get at least one new Warhammer game a year, but I cannot remember the last time I was as excited for one as I am Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef. This is the kind of game that I feel has massive cross over appeal. Those that are familiar with Warhammer 40K are sure to get a massive kick out of this. However, it stands on its own as a damn fine 2D platformer shooter as well so even those without much knowledge of this franchise can have a lot of fun here.

Pros:
