Who Needs a Hero

Who Needs a Hero? Is the most fun I have had with a lewd game in quite some time. While I have called this a lewd game, it is not just full of naked chicks and sex…. Even if our hero does start off on his adventure with nothing to hide his modesty. This is just a really fun and simple adventure game that is not asking a great deal from the player. I found myself legit laughing at points and having fun until I eventually had my fill with the game.

Adventure Time

I know this may sound strange, but I do actually get major Adventure Time vibes from Who Needs a Hero? It is more the tone and the setting than anything else, it is what I imagine a lewd version of Adventure Time would be. Anyway, the game takes place in a fantasy land, a fantasy land that thanks to a wizard has monsters and baddies running amuck all over the place. You want to stake your claim as the greatest adventurer and stop this… and get a lot of money, followers, fame, and chicks in the process. It really is a lot of fun and something I would love to see fleshed out in a sequel or a remake.

Yes Or No?

The gameplay of Who Needs a Hero? Is designed to be as easy to get into as possible. Your little gut just waddles along and you get to make a series of choices that are always yes or no based. It is easy to figure out, but your decisions can have major consequences on things going forward. The whole thing is done in a real tongue in cheek style and I found the whole yes or no thing to be very charming.

The Roll Of The Dice

Who Needs a Hero? Has a pretty fun and simple battle system where it is based on what your “level” is along with a system where you roll the dice. It is very easy to get into and while there is a random nature to things, you never get too angry when a roll of the dice does not go your way. There are also items you can pick up, cards to choose and much more too. It is simple, but in the best possible way.

Cartoon Network

I already talked about how the story and vibe of Who Needs a Hero? Reminded me of Adventure Time, but the presentation of the game does too. The game is nice and bright and there is a lot of humor here, I got a kick out of the “dragon who has more money than you” character, and the game just has so many weird and kooky things going on. There is also lewd content here, but it is quite basic, but to be honest with you as cool as it was, you could take it out of the game and I do not think the game would be any worse off for it.

Pros:

• I think if you like stuff like Adventure Time and other Cartoon Network shows you will like this
• The minimalistic art style is something I got a kick out of
• I liked the random nature of the battles
• The yes or no dynamic of the choices you get to make are fun

Cons:

• The lewd content never really adds anything to the game
• It does not take very long to get through the game
