Alan Wake 2

Alan Wake 2 is a genre blending game that people around the world are looking forward to with anticipation. The game, due out in 2023, is a long-awaited sequel no longer held back by demands to tone down the intensity of the game. While the first game in the series was a thriller, you can expect this game to cross over into horror, garnering Alan Wake 2 a “M” for Mature rating. Stunning Graphics

We don’t know much about this game yet, but the trailer allowing us a sneak preview of the game is stunning. The graphics are crisp, clean, and animated very well. It’s clear that a lot of effort has gone into this small glimpse of Alan Wake 2.

Despite the incredible graphics, the developers don’t seem to think too much about it. They actually decided to postpone a trailer and demo because it takes too much time to make a polished one. They didn’t want to waste time on that when it could go into the main game. If the graphics in this trailer are unpolished, then we have a lot of good things to look forward to in Alan Wake 2.

A Layered Mystery

The developers describe Alan Wake 2 as, “A layered mystery.” These mysteries are likely a deep dive into the original Alan Wake, and deeply intertwined with it. It’s likely strongly related to the plot of Alan Wake, so players should probably review the first game in order to be more familiar with the second one.

The game appears to center around the Dark Presence, a central feature of the previous game. The trailer hints that light will also once again be an important part of the game. In the original Alan Wake, players had to strip enemies of shadow armor using a flashlight before they could kill the enemy.

Releasing Summer of 2023

There’s been a few delays from the developers bringing this game about. The biggest gap was after the original release of Alan Wake. The developers decided there wasn’t enough money from the original to justify a sequel. After that, quality issues have caused a delay. It’s clear that the developers are making every effort to make this game as amazing as possible, and that also caused a delay. While it has been a long time, it’s clear that it will be worth the wait.

Alan Wake 2 has been long awaited by fans for 11 years. It’s clear that the developers aren’t holding anything back in their effort to make a high quality game. Although we’ve only caught a glimpse of what they’ve done so far, we can likely expect an intense experience worthy of the original.
