Arcadian Rift

Arcadian Rift is a three-dimensional sci-fi first-person action shooter by indie developer David RB, where the player will fight as a space pirate, capturing ships.

Gameplay

After launching the new game, the player finds himself aboard his own spaceship. Steam comes out of the hatches and fills the space. Neon lights illuminate the space. A deck covered in glass shows the beauty of space. The space is divided into compartments and connected by metal bridges. Of the curious and interactive things there are the weapons room and the radar room. The weapons room helps you equip yourself to go on a mission. Each weapon case has a colored neon stripe on it, and you can change it to any color in the gun room. Two weapons are available at once: the assault rifle and the blaster. The blaster is very fast and is carried in one hand, while the assault rifle shoots more powerful charges. The body of the weapon also has the number of remaining rounds drawn on it, which helps you calculate your ammunition. There are bright dots on the radar, which are the victims' spaceships that can be cleaned up. Pressing the appropriate button sends the player on a combat mission. Inside the other spaceships there is usually production of some kind of parts: conveyor and fire treatment. The game offers excellent physics, especially if you find special equipment:

• You can attract objects to yourself
• Float above the ceiling
• Build structures out of crates

Attracting objects to yourself is a fun activity that diversifies the shooter's gameplay and adds a new facet to it. With this equipment you can open closed doors, where the riches hidden by the crew lie. Valuable items are guarded by robots, which are armed with machine guns and some with shields. Each guard robot has its own stockpile and has artificial intelligence that moves based on the current combat situation. Robots can hide, attack, and suddenly jump out from around corners.

Details

The main character's hand has a built-in blade that glows yellow, it burns any over-the-top armor of opponents, even if they're hiding behind a protective shield. The weapon instantly removes most of the strength reserve of the robotic enemy. The blade does not need to be placed, it is always with the player as a mandatory melee weapon. Therefore, despite the danger of being close to the enemy, lack of maneuvering, direct confrontation, which will take at least a quarter of health, the result is guaranteed - the enemy will be dead.

In the settings you can adjust important details - screen resolution, color saturation, quality of effects/textures/blurring. You can adjust the sounds of the background music, menus, sound effects. If you want, you can adjust the control of specific keys.
