Customize Your Warrior

Playing Blacklight: Retribution entitles you to a highly customizable player character that you can mold to your own sensibilities and playstyles. Control your aesthetic by selecting and equipping different armor sets, choose your character’s personality by selecting which taunts they will use, and configure all of the weapons in your loadout with a variety of performance-altering attachments like muzzles and stocks.

Prepare to Drop

When your performance outshines all of the other players in a match, it is possible to be rewarded with a powerful piece of equipment that can secure the win: a Hardsuit. This mechanized tool of death is a mini-mech that players can enter to wipe out any players in front of them.

In addition to a human-smashing melee attack, the Hardsuit is also equipped with a bullet-eating minigun and a powerful railgun that is impossible to escape. Use all of the weapons and tools of the Hardsuit wisely, and you’ll be unstoppable.

Technological Advantages

Blacklight: Retribution has one particularly useful piece of equipment that can help you plan your tactics, but at the cost of your damage output. That piece of equipment is called the Hyper Reality Visor, or HRV. The HRV is a wearable that will feed you a ton of information that you can use to make solid tactical decisions. It will show players enemies, weapons, Hardsuits, and even their own teammates through any walls or other surfaces you might encounter in a match.

Sounds perfect, right? Perhaps almost too perfect. To balance out this all-seeing visor, your offensive capabilities will, unfortunately, take a hit. Is knowing exactly where all of your enemies are at all times more important than being able to take them down as soon as they appear? That decision is up to you, and how you choose could cost you your entire match if you aren;t careful.
