Bleak Faith Forsaken is a very cool looking action RPG that has a very cool dark and distressing kind of style to it all. I am a huge fan of games like this and from what I can tell so far, this has all the makings of one that is very special. Like most games of this style, more than a few bits of inspiration have clearly been taken from the Souls series, but in this day and age that is to be expected in all honesty with you. Still, I wanted to spread the word about this game so keep on reading to see why this is one action RPG that I am very excited for!
A Land Like No Other
I have to be real with you and let you know that as far as the story of Bleak Faith Forsaken goes, I am not fully aware of what the main story of this game is. However, I do know that it is set in a land that is not exactly a nice place to live and the last remains of civilization are spread all over the world and you will go from place to place learning more about this strange and dangerous world as you do.
I am getting kind of Skyrim vibes from the story, where you go to different areas and each area has its own people who have their own stories and problems to deal with.
A Dark And Depressing Place
I love the game world that they have created here in Bleak Faith Forsaken. Forsaken is the right word as this is one of the most depressing and dark game worlds, I have ever seen… and I mean that in the most complimentary way possible. You can tell that this is a world that has seen some stuff and the creature designs in this game are amazing. I saw these weird floating insect type things that look like something out of Half-Life 2, these hulking big bosses, and just a lot of nasty-looking things that would rip your head off before even asking how your day is going!
Exploring The Lands
Exploration is going to be a big part of what you are going to be doing in this game. From what I can tell the world of Bleak Faith Forsaken is pretty big and you are free to explore it and come across adventure wherever you may find it. Sometimes you may think that a certain area looks interesting only to find that you are woefully unprepared for a place like that and you have to run and pray you do not get caught by the big thing chasing you! There is a class system, an RPG progression system, and many upgrades and abilities that you can obtain as you progress through the game.
Feel My Blade
As is the case with pretty much all action RPGs these days, combat is skill-based and is going to take a while to get the hang of.
You cannot just go in swinging your weapon about like you are Kratos in God of War! You will have to make sure your positioning is right and that you are ready to block, counter and strike whenever an opportunity presents itself. I get that combat like this is not for everyone, but I really do like the look of it.
If you enjoy a challenging action RPG, Bleak Faith Forsaken is a game that you need to make sure is on your radar. I love the whole dark and moody setting of the game and some of the creature designs are just awesome and have a little bit of H.P Lovecraft about them which is always a good thing. A nice large world to explore and challenging combat are sure to make this a game that is tough, but also very rewarding.
- I love the dark visuals of the game
- It has some of the best creature designs I have seen in a long time
- It has quite an epic score to get you pumped up
- The gameplay appears as if it is going to be very deep
- No word on when this game will actually be released
- Combat like this can sometimes verge on being frustrating

Bleak Faith: Forsaken is a game about discovering the past when civilization has all but ended. Hence the title; things are pretty grim in this upcoming RPG, with little meaning other than to survive against hordes of enemies pouring out of the so-called Omnistructure. So what's the appeal factor about his survival adventure game? The fact that it's an indie title with AAA ambitions.
There's no mistaking the production value from the initial trailers and gameplay showcases that there are big plans for the game. But what will deter players from the plethora of similar RPG titles on the market? Let's unpack Bleak Faith: Forsaken to find out why we should invest our time into this dreary-looking adventure.
Days Filled with Greys
It's hard to conclude the general premise of Bleak Faith: Forsaken due to the limited information we've received about the game. We can deduce that it's an unbelievable, post-apocalyptic game about the last remnants of civilization surviving against a growing 'Omnistructure,' seemingly a cult poised to soak the world in grey.
The visuals and art style of the game look outstanding, using a hopeless grey theme around environments and characters, inspiring the aesthetic with hot flashes of red blood in combat. The character and environment models are complex, matching AAA production value and leaving much to potentially get excited about. Bleak Faith: Forsaken so far looks to live up to its namesake, with many compelling locations and mechanics on display.
Modern natural world environments are paired with a touch of medieval fantasy, creating an exciting premise for a narrative. However, little has been revealed about how that will play out. One can only assume from the descriptions that it will play heavily into the survival prospects, with the protagonist aiming to defeat a growing menace in a depleted world.
So what has been made official thus far? We're getting an open-world RPG game that will appeal to seasoned genre players. Combat is complex and dangerous, and your choices in character development matter with an intricate class system. There's plenty to get excited about, where we await more development news about the game.
Why Hast Thou Forsaken Me?
It's probably apparent by now that Bleak Faith: Forsaken is taking inspiration from the successes of the Dark Souls franchise. The complexities and mechanics resonate with those gameplay vibes. However, one is intrigued by the game's general theme and well-curated art style. We're only waiting on the narrative to see if it connects all the puzzle pieces thus far.
So when will Bleak Faith: Forsaken arrive? Unknown as of yet, with the game still in development. The developers regularly update on progress and showcase more teasers every once in a while. But until then, we'll have to wait to discover what wonders await behind this dark and dreary world.
