Kid Icarus: Uprising

Kid Icarus: Uprising was developed by Project Sora for Nintendo-based consoles. Kid Icarus: Uprising was the last launch of the franchise in 2012 March for the Nintendo 3DS. The original games in the franchise are much older.

The first Kid Icarus game was launched in 1988 with a PC disk version and an NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) cartridge version. The second game in the franchise was released in 1991, making Kid Icarus: Uprising the first release in the franchise after 20 years. Kid Icarus: Uprising is a third-person shooter game and is the only game that Project Sora studios developed. The previous Kid Icarus games were developed from a separate game studio.

Environment and Setting

Kid Icarus: Uprising places you in a land that revolved around Greek mythology. An example of this throughout the game would be characters you have to destroy, such as Medusa being the final boss. As well as enemies such as Hades, Twinbellos, Pandora, Hewdeaw, and Tanatos all from Greek Mythology. You play a character that is a servant of the Goddess, destroying the evil the exists in the world.

New Features

Kid Icarus: Uprising has several different types of gameplay throughout the game. There is a single-player campaign. as well as multiplayer modes, including a competitive game mode for six players, 3v3. Kid Icarus: Uprising bring a new adventure to the long-time series.

Rating

I gave Kid Icarus: Uprising a rating of 8/10 for several reasons. Kid Icarus: Uprising has a lot of content to explore. The story was fantastic and the graphics were great for the time of launch. Now nine years after the launch, the graphics no longer live up to what they used to.

• Unnatural controls
• The gameplay becomes repetitive after a while
